Raul Retires
This decision has come as a massive to surprise to those at Al Sadd; as he had only joined the club on the 12th of May this year (2012) however the club also announced that a powerful force in the World of Football had bought out his contract.
Raul's retirement has perhaps overshadowed the other major news coming from Spain today, La Liga outfit Sevilla have today announced their manager Unai Emery has been sacked with immediate effect.

Raúl González Blanco is a professional football player; who spent most of his career in the Spanish top division playing for Athletico Madrid during his youth, before moving on to Real Madrid where he received many major honours.He left Real Madrid in 2010 as the clubs highest goal scorer and the Champions League all time top goal scorer. During his time at the club he also won the La Liga six times, Three Champions Leagues,, one Uefa Super cup and also boasted second in the Ballon d'Or 2001.
Raul also went on to make such an impact at his next club FC Schalke 04 that after his departure the club opted to retire his favoured number 7 shirt.
