http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/silasthebest/media/T_Id_398180_David_Moyes_zps11b6d3cf.jpg.html
Manchester United manager David Moyes has announced in the last hour that he is recieving treatment for Parotid Gland Cancer and will undergo surgery as well as a mix between Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy. He also stated that he has stepped down as manager of Manchester United as it is to much of an ask for him to do at the moment.

Chairman Malcolm Glazer was caught after the announcement outside Old Trafford saying "This news has shocked everybody at the club, everbody here hopes David will get well soon". He also said "From today we will be looking for a new manager, we do have a few names in mind, but as this news has come so quickly we haven't planned anything yet".

The bookies favorite to take the job is Michael Laudrup however Rémi Garde and recently retired Ruud Van Nistelrooy have both been linked to the job.

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup today has rejected an approach from Manchester United. He stated that he wants to be a success at Swansea and has NO interest in managing Manchester United. Many fans believe that Laudrup was the favorite to take the job, they also believed that he was the only manager to succeed and take United forward.

As of now Skybet are offering odds of 5-2 for Ruud Van Nistelrooy to take the Manchester United job!

Recently retired Ruud Van Nistlerooy has taken charge of Manchester United today with his contract ending in 2017. Van Nistelrooy was excited with the prospect of managing a club especially a club where he played at for 5 years!

Ruud Van Nistelrooy's appointment has come just days after David Moyes stepped down as manager of United.

Ruud was caught in a press conference a few hours after the appointment had been made saying "Going into management was something I always dreamed about especially managing a club where I spent the best days of my career at". He went on to say that "There will be some changes, I will bring some players in and some will depart, but so far most things are yet to be decided".

Most fans see happy with the appointment, this is what a spokesman said "He's a good young manager, and I think I speak for all the United fans here when I say we hope he does well here".
Good start mate, Van Nistelrooy should lead Man United to glory :)
Review of the Squad

Goalkeeper - De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos, Johnstone

David De Gea will be my first choice goalkeeper this year as I feel he is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. Anders Lindegaard will be my backup keeper this year as I feel he is a good Premier League goalkeeper, he made be sold at the end of the season whilst I can still get quite a bit of money for him. Then I have Ben Amos and Sam Johnstone, Amos will most likely be sold as he is not United quality, Johnstone will be loaned out as he has the potential to be a decent goalkeeper!

Review of the Squad

Defenders - Fabio, Evra, Rafael, Buttner, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Vidic, Ferdinand, Wotton, Varela

Rafael, Vidic, Jones, Evra will be my back four this season. Rafael is my only natural right back so he will defiantly start, Vidic is one of my key players so he will always start whenever he is available. Jones will start ahead of Ferdinand as he has slightly better pace. I do believe Jones has the potential to be the best center back in the Premier League so he needs the games to develop. Evra will be my left back, but I will look to improve that position this season. I do have Buttner and Fabio who can both play there both neither of them are United quality. I will keep Fabio for this season but I will sell Buttner so I get the most money as I can! I will look to loan out Wotton and Varela becasue they have decent potentials.

Review of the Squad

Midfielders - Carrick, Anderson, Fletcher, Cleverly, Kagawa, Giggs, Valencia, Nani, Young, Zaha, Powell

Carrick and Cleverly will be my two central midfielders, I will look to bring and extra center midfielder in and then they will replace Cleverly. Anderson will be a backup and Fletcher will most likely be sold when he comes back from injury. On the right wing will be Antonio Valencia, Nani will probably be sold and Zaha will be backup in that position. On the left wing will be Kagawa as Young isn't that good and Giggs is getting quite old now, this is a position I will look to strengthen.

Review of the Squad

Strikers - Van Persie, Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez, Henriquez, Macheda

Van Persie and Rooney will be my two first team strikers, Welbeck and Hernandez will be my backups even though they are brilliant. Angelo Henriquez will be loaned out as he has a 5 star potential and needs the first team football to reach that. Federico Macheda will be sold as he is not United quality.

Two Join FC Twente

Manchester United today announced that Nick Powell and Angelo Henriquez have both joined Dutch club FC Twente. It is thought that manager Ruud Van Nistlerooy has sent them on loan so they can fulfill there potentials.

Ruud was caught a few hours later saying "Nick and Angelo are two brilliant players with great potentials, the aim with these players is to give them as much first team football as I possibly can to make sure they reach there potentials".
Isn't van Nistlerooy the manager :P
I'm sorry to say I won't be carrying on this story as my computer has somehow deleted all of the saves on Football Manager. I will be starting a new story soon as I don't have one now!
Bad luck mate! I hope the next one lasts longer :)
