Ruined? NON!!

Today former Liverpool and chelsea boss Rafael Benitez was named as Palermo manager, Palermo fans are said to be delighted at the appointment of Rafa however some fans think its a bit of a step down, here is Liverpool fan George Matthews!

George: "I'm very happy for Rafa Benitez finding a job so soon after being sacked from Napoli but I feel it's a step down! He has won the champions league, the FA cup, super cup and much more! But I think it's a fantastic signing for Palermo!"

Now, Rafael Benitez' first interview in charge...

JR: Journalist
RB: Rafa

JR: Afternoon Benitez! How do you feel to have finally signed your contract with Palermo?

RB: Yes, urr... Fantastic, I am happy at being appointed and I hope to have a long successful career with Palermo, it will not be easy but accept the challenge.

JR: "What is your message to new Napoli boss Roberto Baggio and your former colleague Aureilio de laurentiis?"

RB: Well, first of all I'd like to wish Mr. Baggio the best of luck for the future! However my message to Aureilio is I'm coming back, I'm going to bring Palermo back to the serie A and knock YOU and every other 'big' team off their high horse! So watch out...

JR: Okay, well may we ask how good your transfer budget is?

RB: Bad. I'm sorry but I can't lie! It is bad, the chairman has given me a challenge, I have to use OUR youth to bring success...we cannot buy our players however it gives us a chance to become the Bilbao of Italy!

A nice interview to kick off Benitez' Palermo career however things seem to be heating up between Napoli and Palermo! Stay tuned.
