A few things have changed in regards to custom graphics on Football Manager 26.

SI will not provide any assistance for issues with custom graphics, please take any issues up with the creators of the pack.

Important Note:

FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. Every file must have a unique name.

But if you're wondering what each word means in terms of numbers, here's the mapping.

Unsuited ➔ 1-3
Reasonable ➔ 4-6
Competent ➔ 7-9
Average ➔ 10-11
Good ➔ 12-14
Very Good ➔ 15-17
Outstanding ➔ 18-19
Elite ➔ 20

  • go to the epic game launcher
  • go to the settings cog on the left
  • scroll down till you see FM
  • click to see what's there
  • choose the additional command line and add this
  • --user_data_location="C:\Users\Bobby\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 202

Launch again and boom, games save!

I was saving both locally and on cloud, couldnt see à thing. Found saves in a temporary folder, as per the above. If you don't care about FM20 on the Epic Games platform or have friends using that whom you wish to play network games with, I highly recommend to avoid getting this update on Steam. At least until SI roll out a hotfix that actually addresses the issues properly.
