problem

i decided to use genie scout last week for the first time and was all working fine. genie scout was in my start menu and for some reason i dragged the file from my start menu onto my desktop and now i can't run that specific file or delete it i've tried everything it doesn't cause any problem but i don't want an icon on my desktop that i can't use or DELETE. it says access is denied bla bla bla

help needed please
