How to play FM 2012 via remote desktop

Hi,
I have FM2012 installed on my chunky and powerful desktop computer.
In previous versions of the game I have been able to play it via a remote desktop connection from my laptop, but FM2012 doesn't seem to run when you start it via a remote desktop connection - does anyone have a workaround for this?
