i understand completely
im a man u supporter
but i realise that mancini is a quality manager
they should give him at least 2 seasons
if he is not producing the goods
by all means sack him
but give him a chance first.

the board just don't understand not getting what they want when they want it, can see many more managers to come at city.
mancini wont be helped by the team, bellamy and given are unhappy, robinho and adebayor are horrendous players to have in the dressing room, such bad attitudes.
and some players not happy with the strict training regime ALREADY!
top 4? i dont think so, villa is in a better position in my opinion.
all chairman should look at lerner for inspiration, villa are very lucky

its the football these things are destroying, there should be more strict rules about such things in football. even though i hate city and wouldnt like to see them win anything. i still dont like when such things happen in football.

Any manager/player should have at least 18 months at a new club before his posistion is questioned so Mancini should get the rest of this season and all of next season to put his footholds on the club
I feel sorry for Hughes as he was in a very demanding job however the board did back him with silly money and did not put huge unrealistic goals ahead of him spending the amount he did top 4 is achievable the amount of draws City had was shocking tho and with all the established top 4 dropping points Man City should have been in a much stronger posistion than they are now

Bolton would beg to disagree.

If memory serves, I believe Sammy Lee holds the Prem record for shortest time in charge of a club, and that was at Bolton for 41 days before he was sacked. Take that "18 month tenure!"

After investing the money they did in him, Citys owners should have followed him through till the end of the season atleast. Man City are still in touch with the top four, and still very much on course for nothing less than a Europe spot.

A lot can happen in the second half of the season.

Hughes should have been given more time. Mancini is good and all but suddenly changing the rhythm of the team is going to hurt their bid for a top 4 spot. The readjustments they will make will impact heavily since the more intense second half of the season is coming. Having little experience playing together on the pitch under Mancini might create slip-ups that will be more costly in the end. Maybe like allowing Pool into the top 4 again or maybe even Villa or Spurs.

That leads to my biggest fear - that Mancini won't be "successful" enough to close out this season and he will be let go as well, allowing the coaching door to continue revolving. At some point, you need to bite the bullet and realize that there are growing pains associated with new coaches and/or players. Or in the case of City; new coaches and players.

Funny looking back to the beginning of this thread and seeing the League predictions. No one expecting Arsenal to be up there and no one expecting Portsmouth to be bottom :)

Ha, yeah I'm pretty sure I thought they'd go back down too. Although, I did have a sneaky suspicion that Burnley would do alright after their recent years' performances in the FA and Carling Cup.... but it seems it was Birmingham who were the dark horses!

I know! It's shocking! Especially if scores stay the same as they are right now... Zola is in trouble
