How to add the claassen's leagues to Football Manager 2017

  1. Extract the downloaded .rar file using 7-zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac OS X.

  2. Move the extracted .fmf leagues you want to the following location:
Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 2017 / editor data
Create the "editor data" folder if it doesn't exist.

  3. Open FM 2017 and start a new save-game with your selected databases of choice.

@EmeraldCityFM: For Nepal, there is very little informations and it's very difficult to understand.
In the game, it's a mix league between "A' Division League" and "National League" of 2014 and 2015 season. (No informations for 2016 and 2017 on Internet)
For the Cups, it's here: http://www.goalnepal.com/ (Tournaments--> Domestic). You can find on wikipedia also.

    Hi mate,
Really appreciate the work you've done here, it's simply awesome how much detail you've put into this.
But if you've got some time, it would be great if you could explain the league setup you've done in Nepal-- I'm interested in doing a save there but finding the structure a bit confusing.
Obviously it's very complicated in real life, but in the game there seems to be two leagues both called Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, one of which is unplayable, and the other appears to act as the second division in the game. This league, in the editor, is marked as a domestic top division and #1 on the pyramid, despite being the tier below the National League which is also marked as a top division and #1.
Furthermore there are a plethora of cups, none of which I know how they operate, and can't find any info on online.
Thank you very much for your help!

@Anas ARC CA: I didn't put Tunisia in the COSAFA Cup update! And in my test until 2026, Tunisia has never participated at these competition!

@rashan: Yes, I will do, perhaps, for the last release on my pack, after the last official patch 17.3, early March.
  • rashan's avatar
Could you please make playable Iran 3rd division and Egypt 2nd division? The leagues and teams are made in the database it is only not activated.
  • Anas ARS CA's avatar
@claassen: Thank you for the explication .. Second thing is that Tunisia was never been in the south of africa cup (COSAFA Cup) so i have my players called for national team (Tunisia)
The following teams have participated in the tournament in the past: Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mozambique, Namibia, Réunion, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe, Zambia
  • claassen's avatar
@Anas ARC CA: it's normal. Look rules page 7 here: http://www.ftf.org.tn/fr/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/REGLEMENTS-SPORTIFS.pdf
"B - Composition of the Ligue I (from season 2017/2018):
For the 2017/2018 sports season, the Championship of the Ligue1 will have an unique group of 14 clubs."

@Donkske: It's hardcoded. I can't do anything about it and the Gibraltar update in the pack is the official update of Sigames. (without changes)

@Periklis: yes, you have a very good computer. :D You will have no problem..

@For all: After the release of the last official patch 17.3 in March, I will release 10 news updates (8 International updates + Micronesia and Wallis&Futuna) and I will update several formats of competitions which are played on the calendar year (as the Japan or Thailand for example)
  • Anas ARS CA's avatar
@Claassen: Hi, Claassen about the tunisian league new formats is off in next season i started 2017 / 2018 without play off or play out groups
  • Donkske's avatar
Hi, I'm playing the Gibraltar league for a while. I notice that the continental qualification stays the same. Still only 2 teams while Gibraltar went up 50 spots or so. Coutries above and under Gibraltar get to qualify 3 or 4 teams. What can I do?
  • Periklis's avatar
Claassen - yes I did ask before I tried, and yes it works fine. Thank you and I appreciate your assistance. But this question is for not only yourself but for others to respond who have fairly fast computers such as the one I purchased - i7 intel 7700; 500 GB SSD; 16 GB HDD 3200 MgHz - I tried to load most of the European leagues plus some selected South American, Asian and African.....but it says once it has over 125000 players that its past the recommended, shows half a star...has anyone ignored this and found the game to run not too bad. Every IT person I have spoken to, say that my machine should have no issues??
  • claassen's avatar
@Periklis: You ask you too many questions!
Yes, normally, your database will be compatible with my 200 updates.
I repeat also, in my updates, there is no transferts of players or squad, and I don't edit attributes of players because I think it's too subjective.
I did "just" the leagues and cups with a maximum of realism on the format of the competitions and the rules! And creation of missing clubs, missing competitions and improvement of reputations of clubs to be more realistic (especially in Africa where it's very badly done)
But as you seem febrile, the best is to load all, play, do some tests and you'll see!
  • Periklis's avatar
Another quick question Claassen - since I have once before added the Cypriot league to FM 2010 to make it playable and have added the Greek 3rd Division before also....In your Mega Pack - have you actually done further research into the squad members of each league team you created? Or did you simply tweak all the leagues to be playable and made sure their "nation rules" complied to get the game going?? I only ask, because If I have an issue with your Mega Pack and the already saved database I created (problems merging the two together that is) then I would simply just add the extra leagues I want to use and go from there....like I have done before.
  • Periklis's avatar
Hi Claassen - yes sorry I know you have repeated this, however, maybe I did not convey my question on both occasions properly. I have almost completed updating in editor all my attributes stats etc to clubs - my question now is when I start a new career game and upload my database...how can I use your one also? Or have I wasted my time fixing the database (to how I want it - as I have not opened up your mega pack) And if I needed to open your MegaPack first its confusing, as your MegaPack is brocken down into every single nation update...so I'm not sure where to begin to edit to eventually have all of your leagues?
  • JackOmino's avatar
    Now it works Claassen :)
    Thank you!!!!
  • claassen's avatar
@Periklis: I repeat, yes you can edit my database to suit your needs..
But you need to know a bit about the editor and at the end on your modifications, redo a file check with the editor.

For the graphics, I don't know but I think that all the graphics works!
Personnally, I use more 15 gigas of various graphics (kits, logos, faces, background, skins, trophies..) + the 200 updates and all works very well!!
Try, go on holidays in the game and you will see!

@goobergoob: yes, I also saw and I don't know because I did nothing in the editor for these team.
It's hardcoded by Sigames, it's weird.
  • goobergoob's avatar
Could anyone help me figure out why FC Lusitans in Andorra gets such good players? In an Andorran save I noticed their players being incredible for the league and consistently going to teams like Madrid/Milan/Liverpool. So I started a new save with the in-game editor enabled and holidayed and well...

    Initial regens first year: http://i.imgur.com/jFQt60P.png
    After two years: http://i.imgur.com/fUfYkaJ.png
    After six years: http://i.imgur.com/j6rE4ei.png

I checked and they still have a youth recruitment rating of 2. I assume SI have done something to make them only get Portuguese players or something (their grey players are still Portuguese as well,) but I can't find anything in the editor to account for this.
  • Periklis's avatar
Hi Claassen - sorry another quick question to you and Stam or anyone else.... Before I load up your megapack...which faces, kits, logos and possibly skins packs are bug free from personal knowledge? I dotn want to go to the trouble of installing all packs only to find one of them is causing the game to crash....??
  • Periklis's avatar
Claassens: Thanks its ok I will use your database and not fussed if all transfers are not up to date...I just wanted to know if I can edit your database to suit my needs (that is; add any players to club rosters and fix up some of the player attributes)?
  • claassen's avatar
@Anas ARS CA: yes, you can do it with the editor, I can't say better..

@Periklis: I don't make transferts and I don't edit attributes (it's too subjective for me). You will find other databases on the site with the transfers (and which are compatible with my updates) or you wait for the 17.3 patch of Sigames which should release early March.
  • Periklis's avatar
Thanks Claassen....one last question (for now) whilst I anticipate playing the game for the first time since FM 2010 version.....! You have told me that you can edit your database....by edit I was asking, can you slot recent transfers in, for example Tevez to Shanghai Shenua, and can you also edit their potential ability skills and current skills, in the database kit you have created?
  • Anas ARS CA's avatar
@claassen: thank you and i understand that, in case i wanted to do it on my own how i can do it ?
  • claassen's avatar
@Anas ARC CA: I don't make transfers, it would be too much work (and it's the work of Sigames researchers) and I have already worked between 500 and 600 hours on this 200 updates !

@zhakshirak: It depends on the countries in Africa. In my save for example, I had a very good regen from Benin!
But I can't change that. Many elements are taken into account: nation reputation, club reputation, league reputation, club infrastructures..
It's complicated and except in the big African countries, the good African players of the small nations are still very very rare in the football..

@Periklis: yes, you can use all in the same time! Logos, faces, backgrounds, kits, my megapack. All will work very well and no, It will not be slow but you must check a box in "preferences".
  • Periklis's avatar
Thanks for answering Stam and Claassen: Can I ask further....if I download one patch for all the faces (facepack) and one for logos, can they both be used at the same time when you start a new game? And in particular your mega pack? Or do I have to choose only one of the packs...i.e either have the benefit of over 89,000 faces or the benefit of 1000s of official club logos? Also anyone know if running i7 7700 , 500GB SSD, 16 GB Ram at 3200 MgHz, and a half decent graphics card with 6GB, will allow me to have a few more leagues (im aiming for around 20 or so, with a large database) to have the game running fairly ok and not be too slow??
  • zhakshirak's avatar
please make the ca and pA of regens a little higher. The game is unrealistic
,it cannot be that ca of aFRICAs regens 1,10,20 it is 60,70,80,90 so it is in almost every other country pleaseeeee make the game realistic, just future regens!!!
  • Anas ARS CA's avatar
@claassen: You made me feel the game with my hometown club i really appreciate your work

in 2017 pack i found that tunisian league transfers wheren't all updated if you need any informations i can help you because a lot of transfers aren't visible on transfermark if you're basing on it

    i'm waiting for your response
  • Stam's avatar
@Periklis: I can't answer about possible crashes as I'm not really playing FM17 lately. Graphics you can add them regardless of database used. And yes you can edit player attributes using either the pre-game editor before starting your save OR using a real time editor on the fly after starting your save.

@stoigeboiii: My personal recommendations are scope facepack & standard logos megapack.
