Really interesting to ask if there are some people, who think that there could be an opportunity for turn off button (for regen. players) or at least an option to control them....
For example i'm having a 2022 with Sunderland (already 2nd season at premier league) - struggling to get there, searching tactics, talented real players (for future seasons) and so on. Signing my favorite player Patric Cutrone for 30mil on the team with limited funds... and than boom - you buy a regenerated player for 3.2mil Josef Ptacek (18 years Czech forward) who has skills almost the same as Icardi, Kane and others... Of course i buy the player who at his 18 is better 1 star (or 1/5 than Cutrone) than any of my players... As for me the game loses its point because of this.
So the question is maybe there is an option to delay this or control it somehow, because we are losing the point of signing real players (or just struggle with the real ones and lose management fight to regens).
Any ideas? Or maybe toughs - because maybe it's only my opinion)
