Genie scout gives both ability and pot. ability, and positional ratings. What are the differences between these, and how does the utility calculate the ratings?
For example, a player can have 80%+ for a rating but an average ability rating (e.g. 159). When using the utility what is more important?
I used to use the in game scouts but found them rather useless in helping me to find players! Giving poor potential ability to players capable of being world class.
Current Ability = CA
Potential Ability = PA
There is such a thing to make a 'class' for players. if have 170 PA and CA, then ur a average player. But a player with exact same CA and PA might be worse than you. and in that way there will become a 'above average' player.
thing is, if you look at Downing, for an example. In real life he is above average, in the game his CA and PA is average, but stats are Above average.
so to make the 'game a bit more organized' those things are needed.
But to find better players and such is not by looking at their PA and CA.
Its about their stats etc.
LISTEN CLOSLEY!.
If we take 2 Left Midfielders, both have around 170 CA and PA.
But according to their stats one of them has more 'player/positional rating'. Why is that?
Because If youre a Left Midfierder. Then you have stats like: Crossing, Pace, Technique, Dribbling, Decisions, Off The Ball etc etc. ''
and if that LM has good stats on those categories then he is a much better left midfielder.
the other left midfielder might have at least '10' to every stat. But that doesnt make him a much better leftmidfielder.
BECAUSE AT every poisition DIFFERENT STATS ARE REQUIRED. So in that case PA AND CA doesnt have much to do.
If your just looking for a 16-18 y.o. youngster then its better to have more PA.
I hoope you get it, because i couldnt be arsed elaborating more than that.
