Agreements between clubs have long existed in football, but nowadays it's becoming more and more common. In order to succeed no matter how big or small your club is, it will be advantageous to set up a number of relationships with other clubs and manage these well. This is the area in the game that allows you to do exactly that.
This section contains a list of all the clubs you are affiliated with. Click on the name of the club to view their squad, or on the left hand arrow by their name to bring up information on the type of agreement you have with them.
Affiliate Agreements
- Local Feeder Club (a club which hosts your reserve team or is used for loans.)
- National Parent Club (a club which supplies you with loans and reserve team players.)
- Continental First Option (a continental club that allows you first refusal on players they sell.)
- International First Option (a club placed elsewhere in the World whose players you have first refusal on.)
- International Link (this agreement exists with a flat fee per year, then allowing you to get a player for free - but only exists between large clubs and small developing country teams.)
Clubs also have the chance of being linked for other reasons, such as if the two sides' managers like each other, or a team uses other stadiums for its reserve games.
To suggest a player makes a loan move to a feeder club, simply right click on the player and then click 'move to affiliate' club. Then just decide which club you'd like to suggest - you can't force any club or player into actually going though. You can sever ties with a club at any time by using the 'Cancel Link' button.
It is also easy to look for a club to affiliate with by simply clicking on either 'Look for Feeder Team' or 'Look for Parent Team'. One or both of these options may be unavailable though, dependant on the size of your club.
If you have been at a club for a sufficient period of time and built up a good level of trust with your board, they may be inclined to allow you to choose the type of affiliate club you are interested in to maximise the benefit to your club. Over an even longer period of trust, the opportunity to request a specific club may be offered to you.
