I just don't understand the anomalous result like losing 4 - 1 to the teams 24th and 22nd in the championship when I am 2nd. Baffles me. I do think this is the most disappointing FM game i have ever played sadly.
MY oposition scout reports are pretty useless, it says every team is weak at set pieces, so i train that pre-match and then just end up having to defend for the whole game, and when i do get a corner they are massivley over hit going straight out, from a players with 19 corners.
It happens.. I once lost to Stoke 3-0 with Arsenal in my own save heh..
Just keep tweaking things around and try different things, hopefully you will get out of that phase.
TIP: Use the opposition scout reports to know more about the team you are playing against, for example you can know who is their top assister or goal scorer (so you can keep an eye on them during the match), you can also know what is the most suitable formation to use against them and too many other good stuff. It's something that might be overlooked by some people, google more about it and hopefully it will help you more
