Database: Edited db slightly to include the Regional Premier Division's so that I could manage Kingstonian.

Team: Kingstonian FC

Brief History: Formed in 1885 the K's have spent most of their time in the Isthmian League Premier Division, a league that they are currently in. Kingstonian have enjoyed a successful period in their history not to long ago, winning the FA Trophy twice in a row & spending 3 seasons in the Football Conference - England's top division outside the professional Football League. Since that golden era the K's have had a downturn in fortunes; relegation from the Conference sent the team into a downward spiral including administration, an asset-stripping chairman & further relegation to the Isthmian League Division One in 2005. Kingstonian won promotion back to the Isthmian Premier in 2009 & in 2009/2010 spent the majority of the season in the play offs, after a bad start to the season. The season ended with K's in 5th place & local rivals Sutton United waited in the play off semi final, an amazing 4:2 away win put K's into the play off final & 90 minutes from Conference South football, but a 2:0 defeat to Boreham Wood ended the season on a bad note... & this is where the story begins...

In Game History/Honours

2011/12
Isthmian League Premier Division (1st/22 - Promoted)
FA Cup (3rd Qualifying Round)

2010/11
Isthmian League Premier Division (5th/22 - Play Off Semi Finalists)
FA Cup (1st Round)
FA Trophy (3rd Qualifying Round)
I remember Kingstonian being in the Conference, I wondered what happened to them.

Looking forward to your story and good luck!

In a nut shell it's pretty much as I described it in the previous post... I see your a Morecambe fan... I remember you guys beating us 6:1 at home in the conference the year we went down. bad times, especially when all your fans were singing "staying up with the Morecambe" before the game :(
This might be intresting story.

Pre Season Report

Kingstonian rounded off their preperations for the new season with an impressive 3:1 win over Southern League Premier Division side Salisbury City. Other results in pre season were not as impressive, as K's recored a draw with Combined Counties League Premier Division team Raynes Park Vale & defeat to Walton Casuals of the Isthmian League Division One South. New manager Paul Grundy has made some additions to his squad, 4 players all on free transfers. Kingstonian will start the 2010/2011 season at home to Aveley on Saturday 21st August & are considered widely to get off to a good start at Kingsmeadow.

-------------------------------------------------------------

August Report

After the first 3 games of the league, K's have 1 win, 1 draw & 1 defeat to their name. Solid performances in the last 2 games has given the team hope they can hit the media & board room target of gaining promotion to the Conference South. Striker Bobby Traynor & Midfielder Simon Huckle have both impressed durin August, with Si Hucks scoring twice against AFC Hornchurch & Traynor netting in the Harrow Borough game.

----------------------------------------------------------

September Report

A solid month for Kingstonian with 3 wins, 2 draws & 1 defeat. 4 goals from striker Bobby Traynor have not only moved K's up the league to 11th (with a game in hand), but has also seen progression in the FA Cup after Isthmian League Division One South side Worthing took K's to a replay.

Nice start mate! I'll be following your story :)

By the way, your recent use of headings reminded me of a bug I overlooked here. Oh well, forum posts view will be expanded very soon (wider boxes, thiner column) so that should do it.

October Report

While struggeling in the league, the K's have reached the 1st Round of the FA Cup for the first time since the record breaking run to the 4th Round 2000/2001. Although Kingstonian are currently near the relegation zone, a good run of wins could easily see them back chasing the play offs.

Good to see you reached the FA Cup proper. Bad luck in the league though its still early days

November Report

The FA Cup run ended with a 1st Round defeat at League Two side Torquay United & to add to that, K's also lost in the FA Trophy leaving just the league to focus on. After a few signings on free transfers the team seem to be starting to click, climbing to 10th in the table.

December Report

Another amazing month of results has turned Kingstonian's season around. 2 months ago K's looked nearer to the drop zone then the top of the table, but now after 4 wins & 1 defeat this month Kingstonian can seriously look at a possible play off spot if they keep playing the way they have been recently.

January Report

Sturdy performances from the K's has seen them rise up to be sitting in a play off position at the end of January. The table is quite tight still, with anyone up to 10th place still with a realistic shout of qualifying for the play offs. Next month will be challenging, with Kingstionian playing 3 of their 4 games against potential play off opposition.

February Report

Kingstonian have consolidated their play off position, but 1 defeat could easily change things. K's still on good form overall, winning 3 games but losing in the final game of the month away to play off contenders Concord Rangers.

March Report

The month started off with a good win over league leaders & local rivals Sutton United, & with only 5 games left to go in the Isthmian League Premier Division Kingstonian are 3rd in the table, 3 points away from Sutton.

April Report

Kingstonian entered an end of season mini challenge for the title, but on game 41 of 42 Kingstonian were defeated by Tonbridge Angels meaning that Sutton United had claimed the Isthmian League Premier Division title. Promotion is still a possibility this season though as Kingstonian's brilliant second half to the season has culminated in a 5th place finish & promotion play off qualification. Kingstonian will face league runners up & suprise package Bury Town in the play off semi-final at Stevenage FC's Broadhall Way ground.

well done on improving after the first half of the season and reaching the play-offs, you really closed the gap on 1st towards the end there.

Good luck in the play-offs!
