need help i just can't score

okay so i'va had a few saves on FM11 now and i start off well but when it gets to around november time i just go downhill............... i'm sunderland atm but i've had this probelm with liverpool and arsenal. i just can't score one on ones and penaltys and i just can't figure out whats wrong.

i play a 4-4-2 with a very rigid philsophy and direct passing..... but i still create plenty of chances but just can't convert them. everything on the match prepation is fluid and it's getting even harder to win because my player morale is poor to very poor now. i have a continental reputation so my players respect me and i do talk to my players in private chat and i also attend press confrences to try and motivate my players but no luck, i never had this probelm in the demo, has anyone had similar experiances? somebody help!!!!!!!!!!

This is a tactic im usinig in my current game.

First season i finished 5th in the premiership with birmingham.

This season (my 2nd season) i am currently in 6th 4pts behind 1st with a game in hand after 9 games!

hmmm.. dude i've loaded your tactic, to be honest i would never play like that.. however i will give you some tips!

A box-to-box midfielder, is a midfielder who does everything; he is strong, quick, good teqnuiqe, passing, tackling, marking, heading, and he has high mental skills as well.. this position is made for Stephen Gerrard, Lampard and 5-10 others and without seeing your squad i am afraid you don't have even 1 type of player

Instead you can be more specific with your midfield; try playing the first with attacking duties and the other with defensive! The same i would say for your forwards.. you can't get them both playing full attack, someone will have to come a little deep to get the ball or even pass it through to his partner! try playing the one in poacher duty

Thanks for your tips...... however i think ill be fine to continue as i am. Fifth in my first season and this season if i dont win the league or come close i will perform what can only be described on this site as a LUDE ACT on you!

Check out if the players that can`t score have a low composure if they do that`s probably the reason, had the same issue with gilardino.

Hey, i had the same problem at Tottenham, i was playing well till then, i was leader then in 4-5 games i couldn't win anything, players couldn't pass, score etc. if u get a draw or even when loosing away from home try saying well done or even Delighted to your strikers, this can give them a false confidence and they will score, they just need 1 goal to turn the goalscoring machine on again hope this helps.

There's no need for arrogance and anger. Everyone's willingness to help is appreciated and should be respected.

Many of us have been playing this game for years, and personally I'm still getting valuable advise from others. And let me add that by playing the game online with other human managers, it can change the way you approach your game, because you realize there might be better players than you even if you've been around forever.

I'm only saying try to stay open minded with advise, give it a chance and see how you can use it to up your FM skills. Peace!

Playing online switches the difficulty mode from "easy" to "insane".. (in an online with experts of course) Harder games, harder transfers etc.

i've looking around on the offical FM forums and in the bugs forum section there's alot of complaints of this............. i starting to think this might be a bug, i dunno tbh.......... i mean i could have 14 shots and 5 CCC only score one goal and the other 4 1v1's go miles wide...... but aston villa go up the other end and score 4 in a row........ it's defiantly not my tactics i'm 99.9% sure....... does anyone know when 11.2 patch will be released??
