And I agree with you there. I thought Charlton would haven't got poor facilities.
as far as i know, it has little to do with standard of facilities, more to do with finances.
im sure if you check, charlton are currently "penniless" in your game. they cant afford the maintenance for their facilities thus the facilities deteriorate.

I got this on my LLM save where I manage Halifax FC. It started in the second season when I got promoted to BSP, I'm now in League 1 and the west stand is still getting closed two or three times per season. My economy is good(€2m+), so that is not the problem.

Lucky cup draws. Just now I met Chelsea away in the FA cup. Got a solid £500k+ on that alone.
I also had a takeover in the second season which got me £210k. Other than that I've never been above my wagebudget, usually way below. I started unemployed and didnt get hired until the second season when Halifax promoted from non-league to Blue Square North/South, so the wagebudget was very low. Combined with quite high stadiumattendances, I got a solid plus every month.
In my current save, Portsmouth had a section close off three times this season.
