direct scoring from corners

well I've been whineing about the low scoringprocentage from the peneltyspot... but by now I'm realizing that SI have compensated this from corners... I've had three of my cornertakers scoring directley on corners in just a couple of season... is it someting with my cornertac or are you expreiencing the same thing ?

the penaltys are definitely harder, and I also experience the compensation thru the corners, i'd say 60% of my corners per game are goal or hit the post which leads to a 2nd chance and a goal!

I've never scored a direct corner, that would make a good entry to GOTW!

well after sending in a goal where my player scored a goal from the middle of my half without it even making the final cut i don't really bother any more

also i would say that the amount of own goals has increased tremendousley

I´ve scored a direct corner once in FM 2011 it was Fábio Coentrão who scored the corner.

How do you score a direct corner? Do you set it as "6yard box"?

Also, red cards, I find, are a pain in the butt. There is too many direct red cards in the middle of the pitch with no obvious reason. I start the last game of the season with title hope and after 12mins my left back (a decent guy) fouls and gets sent off. this stuff happens too often.

i meant the other team scored two own goals, meaning my team 2, theirs 0

well i can assure you that own-goals and excessive corner goals are common both in major leagues as in lower ones!

maybe the next patch will do something about it! i hope so!

When I played with city after the first 6 games of the first season Kompany had scored 6 goals all from corners..., and this continued with a slower rate for 3 years (when I finally got borred and stopped). My defenders were scoring almost every game from corners. I had my corners on default I think. So yea definatly something should be made about these corners

No I haven't scored a goal directly from corner. And never saw someone to score in my games.

I am certainly off-topic because I am talking about real-life Direct Corner Goals. I'm a video cameraman and I see these type of Direct Corner Goals happening in juniors all the time, but as the players get to semi-pro/pro level, these types of Direct Corner Goals become incredibly rare.

Old thread hehe, well yeah I would assume they do an example can be given to me as a kid I used to be awful at judging headers and direction e.t.c therefore if coaches at that low of a level decided to put a guy on near post then it would most likely go in. However as I grew older and more aware of positioning timing in jumps and slightly better at heading it meant I could cover the near post effectively.
