Hi everybody

I've been playing FM for years now and FM'11 since i got it for Christmas, I always start unemployed to keep it realistic. So I got the job at Hereford, yes that's right they have a team?? and a crappy stadium too, only 5000 cap and that's it no room for expansion.

Well anyway been with them for 5yrs, and well I'm on the cusp of being promoted to the Premier League!! (were in the playoff spots of the championship) Now the board have only just started giving me money!! (ive used genie/FMRTE to scout for free good players, yes i know some see this as cheating, BFM its only a game, I mean I couldn't manage my way out of a paper back let alone a professional football team lol) I've asked to buy the stadium (no joy) I've asked to build a new stadium (not enough funds). HSE keep closing part of my stadium as its not safe.

So I want to know does anyone know what happens if you get promoted to the premier league and your stadium isn't fit/big enough/safe enough for the league????

Regards
I remember I got Morecambe into the Premiership and by then we had something like 12000 capacity stadium with about 8000 seats, when we were in the Premiership we were only allowed to use the seated stands so max attendance was 8000 despite having a max capacity of 12000, but fortunately the board started building a new all seater stadium and only had to put up with 8000 for 2 years

Its gonna be difficult for you with only 5000 cap in the prem especially if only half of that is seated. Maybe having a possible attendence far higher than your capacity will force your board to take out a loan and build a new stadium but you'll likely have to put up with terrible attendances until its complete.

Let me know how it goes and good luck with your promotion challenge!

Cheers Evo

Well I'm now in playoff's now playing first leg against stoke, wining 1-0 so far, but seated cap is on 2600 at Edgar street, bugger, this will be interesting lol

cheers

p.s make that 3-1 final result, now second leg at Britannia :(
Well beat Stoke 5-2 on Agg

and just beat Birmingham 2-1 in final, Hereford in the premiership!!

Who would have dreamed :D
Congrats and good luck in the premierships. Let me know if your board decides anything, surely they can't let their club play in the prem without at least planning for a new stadium.

No New plans for stadium, just increased seating cap, but still less than 5000! Grrr
Think I'll start a new game this just isn't right.
maybe stick with it, providing your wage bill is low you should make loads of money in the prem through tv revenue and next season you might have enough funds to encourage the board to build a new stadium.
