Installation Issues

I have put Football Manager into my disc drive, I've checked the back of the box and my laptop has all the necessary specifications. The installation is going well right up until the end where it says that "Football Manager 2011 is installed, however there were errors that occured during installation. Please check the installation log for details."

The actual game file is nowhere to be found on my computer, it is only the folders that seem to be there when I search through the start menu (I have to use the search bar to find this. It's not even in the Sports Interactive folder that was created for FM07). However, when I look at the list of programs I can un-install, at the top is Football Manager 2011, with the logo and everything.

It will not let me run it from there, and I've even tried going into 'My Computer', and double-clicking the disc drive section which blatantly says 'DVD RW Drive (E:) FM2011'.

I didn't have this problem when I installed FM11 on my PC, so I'm a bit confused as to how this is happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(If it helps, I'm using Windows Vista)

Apparently this is due to a conflict with the Games Explorer in Windows Vista and Windows 7, you will be able to run the game from the location it has been installed to (for example: C:/program files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2011/) without any issues.
Aha okay. The game doesn't actually appear in that folder, or any other for that matter.
First I will try to install it via Steam though I think because I forgot about that >_<
Thanks for your help though :).
