The FM12 Editor is a fantastic tool for unlocking leagues, adding your own teams/staff/players or altering the current database to your own liking.

Go to: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2012\tools\editor

The editor.exe file in this folder opens up the official editor.

For Mac users:
/Users/myusername/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/football manager 2012/tools/Editor.app

If you can't find the editor, it's because you need to download it seperatly through Steam. It can be found in the Tools section within steam. To get to it do the following:

Open Steam -> Library
and
Change All Games to Tools.

It will appear in this list. Double click and follow steps to download and install it.

The initial run may require to install direct X files.

Thanks to ejay for the screenshots.

Thanks Stam! If we ever meet I will buy you a bear or a cookie depending on your age and local law =D

I could not find it at all! Of course it was hidden in Steam the worst application in the known universe.

How do you then edit teams and players etc on the editor as it doesn't seem to let me click on anything???
I don't have a "tools" folder in "football manager" nor do I have a "library" folder in the "Steam" folder. Help please.

Guys,

I found editor link on my folder C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2012 editor.
But, I couldn't open it.
Every time I double clicking editor, it always appears "Warning: did not find font resource: fonts/helveticaneueots"
It's never open, then I closed it via Task Manager.

Please help me.

Thanks

Stam u are an absolute legend cheers fella :)
The Steam version off data editor will NOT install I keep getting validation failed and files deleted errors trying to use the STEAM suggestions has now made every other game installed under steam fail and need reinstalling without fixing the problem in fact all it has done is apparently corrupt the main game as now if I sack the coaching staff(who are all useless for the team I play) the board says I don't need any more coaches even If I only have one coach which for a championship club is a joke.
Surely there must be somewhere else to d/l the data editor from as STEAM sucks
