After restarting my Villa game to reduce the number of players (player search kept taking ages) I got rid of a bunch of high earners at Villa, seriously abused the monthly installment clause and bought a shed load of players. I thought I share my signings with you all of which I think are excellent value.

GK - Marc-André ter Stegen - £15M - expensive yes, worth it? Hell yes. This guy is young, has great ability and outstanding potential. You wont have to worry about looking for a new keeper for over a decade.

Germán Ré - DRLC - £2.5-4M -A really good signing, a little old but low wages, versatility and the way he plays far better than you'd expect makes him one of my favourite signings.

Rafael Tolói - DC - £4-6M - Young, good ability, good potential, great value signing.

Stefan Bell - DC - £1.5-3M - The same as with Tolói above however this guy is on a year long loan at Franfurt. Despite the loan its well worth securing his signature early to make sure no one else gets him.

Guiseppe Prestia - DC - £1-2M - Still very young but has really high potential, he develops quick and is real star of the future.

Arne Friedrich - DRC - free - don't sign him in the first window because he can't play first team football until 2012. But make him a must signing at the end of December. Great defender, low wages and free!

Tobias Figueiredo - DC/DMC - 500K - One for the future, high potential, cheap but he'll need time to increase his ability.

Gilberto Silva - DMC - £2-3M - He may be old at 34 but still a top class midfielder, he also make a good DC. His physical stats are good for his age and still has at least 2 more years in him and asks for low wages. Well worth buying.

Ruben Yttergård Jenssen - MC - £2-5M - Get this guy AS SOON AS YOU CAN, I missed out on him on both games to Bayern and Malaga. Good ability and potential, asked for very low wages of around 8K. I wish I had offered him double or quadruple wages to make sure I got him.

Xherdan Shaqiri - AMRL - £6-10M -Young but has good ability and great potential, get him quickly before someone else does.

Josip Ilicic - AMLC - £5-8M - Good ability and more potential to fulfill, well worth the money.

Vaclav Kadlec - AML/ST - £7M - Very high potential and good current ability, a favourite signing of mine.

Yaya Sanogo - ST - £2M - High potential and cheap, don't miss out on him or he'll get snapped up by a big club.

Ones to keep an eye on

Jack Robinson - DL - £5M - Missed out on this guy because I ran out of money, still young but has high potential and very cheap considering he's a future England star.

Nika Kvetveskiri - DRC/DMC/MR - around £1M - missed out on this guy because he couldn't get a work permit, Young, high potential, versatile, cheap. I'm gonna keep trying for this guy and hope some club that doesn't have work permit restrictions doesn't snap him up.

Owen Hargreaves - DMC - He got offered to me very cheap in the January transfer window and he asked for surprisingly low wages too, so I got him. For some reason all my scouts rated him at 1 and half stars but he is way better than that, once I had signed him he was rated 4 stars by my coaches :/ are SI using him as a guinea pig? Still has good ability and I know him to be an excellent tutor for younger players, I also made him into a right back where he played well.

Tomas Necid - ST - £2-7M - He is out injured for 12 months at the start of the game but keep an eye on him, his attributes may decline while he's injured but so will his asking price and wage demands. When he recovers he will quickly regain his ability really quickly. A must buy at the end of the first season, don't be fooled by his low pace in June 2012 he will very quickly regain his ability.
i've bought pedro galvan from bnei yehuda in july for 220k and now i'm in october and he's worth 425k. 10 games, 4 goals, 8 assists.
also...khama billiat in july from ajax CT for 180k and now he is worth 275k. 13 games (11 of them from the first minute) 8 goals, 3 assists...and they are just getting started
Sime Vrsjalko from Dinamo for £1,000,000 is once again awesome on FM12 he's been my first choice RB from the beginning on FM12 and I'm now half way through my second season for Man Utd

Eric Torres as a poacher is an absolute animal and he is not even a natural striker and for £2,500,000 is a definate purchase.
Few players ive bought for Aston villa that are working out nice are Vrsjalko as mentioned by scatman, adam vass i bought hes a little bit of a worry because hes a tad bit mental but my coaches say hes constant and he plays a nice anchor man role and only cost me 900k, also very happy with Johan martial for 1.4 mill. Once again gabby is playing well as he always seams to in FM playing him on the wing as a winger and as a advanced forward and he seams to like it. Bruno manga is looking like a nice deal for me also at 4 mill.
Player from spain (possibly Valencia?) called Sebistain. Snapped him up for 1m in my first season for west ham (finshed top with 103 points..why thank you) and is doing the biz in the premier plus he can play upfront or right wing..also Jordan Spence a solid flexiable defender and captain of my club still only early 20's. Into 3rd season of premier (13th and 8th) and have just signed 3 players from barca reserves and they have started very well..along with Adam Johnson! cant remember their names as im at work skivving gettin my Fm fix but will let u no if they any good..also Stephen Warnock on a free is the business..got him in as defensive cover but played over 30 games with a 7+ average!!
Guiseppe Prestia hasn't been great for me so far, looks like he will take a few years to grow into a first team player.
Artur Wichniarek from free transfer to Olimpia Elblag in winter transfer window. 10 goals in 10 matches.
Sergio Tejera from Mallorca, around £3.8m
Really good playmaker and young
Glyfi Sigurosson.
32 games, 8 goals 18 assists
Im Gainsborough and I have just signed pablo counago on a free for £450 p/w salary. At 31 he has a few seasons in him at this level and will provide a goos boost to squad and supply a bit of class to my team.
I usually go through all the Ivory coast, Ghana, Nigeria and South African clubs to find talents. A good way is to open their national teams, there they link to all the clubs in their nation, and you can sort them after best ranking. There are some incredible talents, they are cheap and they sign for "shitty" clubs.

Also I always check which players Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal etc. release on free transfer.
