Mind games are such a key part of the modern game, and here's your opportunity to get involved with some of your own. You can comment on any individual, be that a player at your team, a player at another club, a rival manager - quite simply anybody you wish to discuss.

If the individual concerned is somebody at your club, you'll be dealing with them in a private conversation. This may not stay very private, however, if the party becomes disgruntled at what you have to say. Beware your words finding their way to the media.

Anyone else you're discussing will need to be in the form of a public statement made to a single journalist. In much the same manner as you speak out in a press conference, you're able to confide in a lone reporter with anything you want to mention, but with the knowledge that it will become public knowledge before very long. Your relationship with the journalist will determine how he or she spins it.

Each will take the form of a conversation, with the comments flowing back and forth as you discuss whatever's on your mind.

If you wish your comments to have more impact you might consider making a timely pre or post-match declaration. These will be made in the pressure cooker atmosphere of the periods either immediately before or after the game.

Note that the Public Statement feature isn't merely an option to enter into a mud-slinging match with your rivals. Praising another boss or expressing sympathy for their cause could see some of their good reputation rub off on you. Dealing effectively with the comments other managers throw at you will only serve to reflect well on you in your own personal stats.

You'll be given the opportunity to respond to rivals' words in the News section. The effect of your comments and media profile will be reflected in the personal screen of your players and flagged up with a 'PR' icon in the main squad menu.
