Baggio returns to Fiorentina
ACF Fiorentina have rolled back the clocks and appointed club legend Roberto Baggio as their new manager. The news came shortly after Vincenzo Montella agreed to mutually terminate his contract as the board demanded better results.
The Viola only managed to finish 13th last season, and the board clearly felt that the time had come for change. Roberto played for Fiorentina between 1985-1990 notching up 94 appearances scoring 39 goals.
This signals Baggio's first venture into management and with a talented group of players featuring the likes of Jovetic he will hope the coming season will be a successful one.
