LUST force McDermott out

LUST, otherwise known as the Leeds United Supporters Trust have put up a poll on their website after gaining a 10% share in the Leeds United boardroom as to whether manager Brian McDermott should keep his job as manager. Owners GFH Capital had asked LUST to be the connection between the owners and fans. In the poll keeping McDermott only received 23% of the 3873 votes that were made. Now Leeds United shareholders and owners need to get their thinking caps on as they begin the search for a new manager that would be open to come to Elland Road and awake the sleeping giants of English football. The Leeds United management role has a reputation for one of the toughest teams to manage in the world as the sudden demise from Champions League semi-finals to a mid table Championship side has hit the fans hard and want to be back where they were as soon as possible. 8 managers have taken the helm at Elland Road since David O'Leary was sacked by then chairman Peter Ridsdale on 27th June 2002, those managers were:

Terry Venables - 8 July 2002 - 21 March 2003
Peter Reid - 21 March 2003 - 10 November 2003
Kevin Blackwell - 1 June 2004 - 20 September 2006
Dennis Wise - 24 October 2006 - 28 January 2008
Gary McAllister - 30 January 2008 - 21 December 2008
Simon Grayson - 23 December 2008 - 1 February 2012
Neil Warnock - 18 February 2012 - 1 April 2013
Brian McDermott - 12 April 2013 - 14 July 2013

As you can see, the longest serving manager there was Simon Grayson who held the job down for 3 years and 3 months. LUST have released a list of candidates put together by GFH for the new manager. Here is the list on the official LUST website:

Obviously, Leeds fans have a lot of candidates to choose from. It's up to them to choose the right man and if he's not the man, they can't blame anyone but themselves. It's a tough decision for Leeds.
Nice Start and Good Luck :)
Good luck Jack :D
Thanks for the good luck comments guys. I won't be getting FM14 until 3rd November so I'll try and bring out some build up updates until I get the game and that's when I'll start posting what's really happening, thanks guys :)
Good start and good luck
Looking forward to see what you can do at Leeds :)

The Favourites

Lets take a look at the front-runners for the newly vacant managerial role at Leeds United. There has been a lot of controversy on Twitter following the sacking of Brian McDermott on the 14th July with many thinking the players will become unsettled with the sudden switch in management and many believing it could be signalling a future from a fans perspective.

Many popular Leeds United Twitter accounts have given their opinion on who the new man should be, most of them would prefer experience in management rather than experience of playing at Leeds. @TheSquareBall tweeted: As much as I'd like to see Radebe in the dugout, I'd prefer Ray Wilkins. He has a great football brain. #lufc

@TheScratchingShed tweeted: @TheSquareBall agreed mate, Wilkins would be my man. He's very calm and composed and could be a big hit for us. #lufc

@MrPaulRobinson tweeted: Roy Keane, Gary Megson?! Are LUST taking the piss? My vote goes to Paolo Di Canio, we need a fiery character for our support! #lufc

Ray Wilkins is currently 3-1 odds to become the next Leeds manager with official Leeds United and Football League sponsors Sky Bet with Paolo Di Canio at 11-1. Former Manchester United centre midfielder Roy Keane us the least favourite for the job with odds of 150-1 making it almost impossible for him to take the helm at Elland Road.

Leeds fans are frustrated at LUST and GFH Capital for not making a decision on the new manager after criticism was sent to managing directors David Haigh and Salem Patel along with chairman Salah Nooruddin on Twitter. Gary Cooper, founder of Leeds United Supporters Trust is the only man involved within the boardroom to be keeping Leeds fans updated along with many questions fired at him. Local paper the Yorkshire Evening Post have published many articles online and in the newspaper regarding the next manager although none of the YEP's authors are involved inside the club. It interviewed Gary Cooper about the new manager but had to be cut shirt because of the questions asked. Another place for Leeds fans to moan and suggest is the comments section on the Yorkshire Evening Post's website.

It's looking like another season in the 2nd tier if Leeds don't finalise a new manager soon with the future of the club possibly in tatters.
