Glad to see Brighton on this as I am a passionate Brighton fan. On FM13 I got Brighton to the BPL but we got relegated after 1 season and I got sacked.

I still don't know I have the top 5 leagues loaded in the world eg spain engl Italy france and germany

West Ham United are a reasonable challenge. You've got an ageing injury prone squad who you will need to slowly replace who will probably struggle to reach mid-table. Physical and direct football suits the starting squad but it's sort of fun to bring in better passers and slowly change the philosophy back to the usual West Ham way of trying to play good football.

Due to the debt the first 3 years are rough with low transfer budgets but the light at the end of the tunnel is the move to the Olympic Stadium which coincides with your loans ending - then you can start competing with the big boys in the transfer market.

I've gone for Wolves - they're basically a Championship/Premiership borderline club in L1, so they need rebuilding and the only way is up!

I would agree that Fulham is a greatclub to start with, have tried. 4th place, FA Cup and Charity shield, Did some signings; Doria, Honda, Wilfried zaha (season loan), Mason bennett and gabriel

AEK Athens got relegated to the third teir of Greek football to clear the debts and they are a huge club in Greece (3rd Best IMO)

I started on Benfica.... On the 1st season 1 won the league, with the same points as Porto (73). I also won the Portuguese Cup (4-0 against Rio Ave). Lost in the CL semi-finals against Man. City (3-1 agg.) after knocking out Bayern and Basel. Lost in the League Cup group stage (on this competition I used some reserves and I've paid for it).

The second season started well, because of my victory on the Super Cup (3-0 against Rio Ave).
I also won the Portuguese league. I conquered 81 points (Sporting, the 2nd, ended with only 72).
On the Cup I was knocked out by Rio Ave (1-3 at home).
On the League Cup I arrived to the semi-finals and I've been trashed at Estádio do Dragão
(lost 3-0).
On the CL I arrived into the quarter finals after beating Dortmund (2-2 agg., won it because of the away goals). Then, I lost to Bayern (3-2 agg).

The 3rd season started as the 2nd one.... With a victory on the Super Cup (2-0 against Sporting).
I also won my 3rd consecutive league, in which I conquered 77 points (Sporting only 68).
On the League Cup, I've been knocked out on an early stage again. Lost in the group stage.
I lost the Portuguese Cup final (0-1 to Sporting).
But.... I won the Champions League. I've been very lucky but I made it.

Last 16:

I've had a real blast playing as Reading this year. Really good team to manage with some decent players like Le Fondre, Morrison, Pearce, McCarthey Pearce, Drenthe etc etc. I think we got taken over as well 6 months into the job, so you do get a slightly increased transfer and wage budget just in time for the January transfer window.

Lazio are a good shout; a big club but low expectations. You can build a team without starting from the bottom. I sold players and managed to get Leandro Damiao my first season, now in my third, I have won the serie A and am getting 40mil transfer budgets. Give them a try!

This is really good, especially for me. I have not found a team which feel a great passion for this training, as well as my beloved Watford in FM13, but anyway, I've tried this FM14 Arsenal but felt I wanted something more, something like a great challenge which could boast, so I went to QPR at first felt this "passion" in the background but still something was missing (although I keep playing my save with QPR for a team that was enjoyed with a good challenge and who knows one day I find really missing it. For order now I'm in search of what I try dedicating myself to Sporting (50% and 50% Sporting QPR) with the challenge of perhaps revealing a new Cristiano Ronaldo. Hopefully find a balance and decide to which of course I will devote myself to the end, is not easy to train two teams at the same time. Maybe someday tell a Save Historia.

why not try a start with a lower level 11 team

all part time no players no budget for transfers

and just a wage budget of 300 per week

more fun than starting with all money etc
