Brief Introduction

Bonjour c'est moi encore, ca va? Lol Hey guys, so in case you don't know my Arsenal save died (RIP) and so I was discussing Ligue 1 in GC and I think it would make a good story. Also when talking in GC, I realized I need to change my style of writing and focus on the results and the fm part of the story and not the made up stuff. Thanks to those members who told me this :)

Olympique Lyonnais

If you don't understand the title of this story it means "The giant has been woken" and this is basically the reason why I picked Lyon. Years ago, Lyon were the dominant force in France, nobody could be compared to them. Year after year they would amaze the world with their performances in the Champions League and Ligue 1.

Sadly, the club became a selling club and sold most of their star players. This became a regular thing. Lyon would buy their players at a cheap price, groom them, turn them into European class players and then sell them. This backfired. Lyon then declined and now are not the force they used to be. With PSG and AS Monaco, the two money spenders in the league coming in, it will be interesting to see if Lyon can actually compete with the likes of those two teams.

Who will be in charge of Lyon

This paring isn't unfamiliar as it was these two who won Chelsea the FA Cup and Champions League. So it will be Andres Villas Boas ( who just got sacked, lol) and Roberto Di Matteo taking over at Lyon...but in the reverse order. This means that Roberto Di Matteo will be the number 1 and AVB his number 2. I felt by doing this, it will make it more interesting and laughable.
Good luck! Will be interesting to see how someone else does with Lyon!
Looking forward to this Seni!
Looking forward to this a lot!
ANDRÉ, I MISS YOU :-* :-* :-* :-*

Good luck, btw ;)
I cant wait to read this Seni hopefully it will be as good if not better than your Arsenal one

Stade de Gerland

Centre Tola Vologe

Today, André and I went on a tour around the facilities here and they are very impressive. It beats most of the facilities you see in England and we can't wait to work here. Many people have been wondering, why I picked André as my assistant and why he even accepted. Well, when I needed a job most, André picked me as his assistant. I felt I was wrongly sacked and André agreed and gave me a job, I just had to pay him back someway or the other.

I had been in negotiations with Lyon for some time and we were in the concluding stage of discussions when André told me about his troubles at Tottenham. Once the news broke out that he had departed I felt so bad and so I decided to repay him. Thankfully, André was humble enough to accept my offer and now the two of us hope to take this club forward. André may be the assistant manager, but one must realize the experience he has. Lyon should be grateful to have two managers working together for the good of the club.

Good luck !
Thanks for all the support already guys, I appreciate it :)

Meeting the want away striker

I'm sitting in my office while André and the other coaches are laying out the cones for our first training session of the summer, well for pre-season...every players nightmare. Today we are going to work on our fitness for a good three hours or so. Its very important for the players to be in shape ahead of the new season if not, they'll fall behind in games.

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

Roberto: Come in...wait first who is it?

André: It is me Roberto, André...errr one of the strikers wants to see you immediately.

Roberto: Can't it wait after training, we're about to start in roughly five minutes!

André: Err..I don't think so Roberto, he says he needs to see you now.

Roberto: Which striker is this?

André: The big one....here come inside.

"The big one?" I thought in my mind who could that be? In came our star striker, Bafetimbi Gomis. He looked worried and concerned and I already knew what was coming...

Roberto: Sit down, sit down, what's up?

Gomis: Boss, I need to talk to you.

Roberto: You think I don't know that? Why would I let you into my office then?! Talk to me about what exactly?

Gomis: I do not mean to cause any disrespect to you but I would like to leave the club and move on. I think its about time I leave. I've been a loyal servant to the club but the club hasn't really given me anything back. The former boss promised me a move just before he left.

Well, I thought to myself, what a smart move from Remi Garde to promise our star striker a move just before resigning. Its like he set us up for failure!

Roberto: Ok I understand your concerns, but are you sure you want this. I will not stop this. Once you confirm yes, I will send an email to clubs offering your services is that ok?

Gomis: Yes that is ok, thank you for understanding. I hope you keep your promises!

Roberto: That is ok but I will only do this under one condition. You yourself must talk to your teammates and tell them that YOU handed in a transfer request. Secondly, you must not go out and tell the press you handed in a transfer request or else I will reject every offer that comes in and dump you in the reserves for the whole season, is that clear?

Gomis: Ok Ok I will be going now to training, but I will tell them first, thanks for listening to me.

Roberto: Ok goodbye now, see you in a bit.

Great! Our star striker is leaving the club. We must find a new one immediately!

Roberto: Andr!é! André

André: Yes yes, what happened?

Roberto: He handed in a transfer request, we must find a new striker right away...and a decent one André.

André: We could try and get Emmanuel from Tottenham

Robert: I said a decent one...

André: Hey he is decent, lets contact them and see what they say...

Roberto: Fine.

So, we are going to send an email to Tottenham to try and buy or loan Emmanuel Adebayor, lets see how this goes...
Don't rate Gomis at all so definitely good move in granting him the request!

I've never really rated him so hopefully I can sell him and replace him

The crazy tactics

Today was a big day. Today is the day that I reveal the tactics we will be using this season and myself and André have drawn up two absurd, crazy, out of this world tactics. We don't know how the players will react to it, but we'll just have to see how it goes.

Roberto: Lads settle down, settle down it is time we talk to you about the tactics we are going to use, so that we can practice it in our friendlies!

Team Chorus: Yes boss.

André: This tactic is a little crazy, just a little but we believe with hard work and time, it will turn us into champions!

Gonalons: So then, can we see the tactic?

Roberto: Yes of course, here are the two tactics we will be using, they are very similar with just a few alterations between them.

As I looked at all the players' faces I could see one thing, shock! They obviously weren't expecting such a tactic. Maybe they expected a simple 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 like they've played over the past few years. We are taking a risk with this tactic but we hope it will work.

Roberto: So, don't be so quiet tell us what you think?

Benzia: It could work, but we have to really practice it on the pitch and could you explain all the funky roles you've added?

Roberto: Of course:

Enganche

He is the prime creator, a “hook” that joins midfield and attack and operates behind the strikers and a playmaker who sticks to his position and becomes a pivot to his team as they move around him. It differs from the Trequartista who likes to roam from his position, drifting around and looking for space between the lines

False Nine

He is an unconventional lone striker who drops deep into the midfield. The purpose of this is that it creates a problem for opposing central defenders who can either follow him – leaving space behind them for onrushing midfielders, forwards or wingers to exploit – or leave him to have time and space to dribble or pick out a pass.

Listen lads, the tactic can work but we've all just got to be focused and pay attention to our different roles. Here I've gone out and bought each of you Football Manager 2014, which I used to create the tactic, on this flash is the tactic, insert it into your game and play around with it....oh and make sure you use us not United or any other team!

Team Chorus *laughs* Ok boss!

Some nice updates, nice seeing what tactics you're gonna use. Where will you play Grenier if you're to use him in the first tactic?
Sorry to see your Arsenal story meet an untimely demise, Seni - good luck with Lyon!
