Viborg F. F. was founded 1 in April 1896, where it all started with something completely different than football.
Among other things, was sports like gymnastics , cricket , hockey, boxing , athletics , skiing, weightlifting and wrestling part of Viborg FF hence the name Viborg Fodsports Forening (Viborg Footsports Association) , because it apparently believed that the other sports also were " foot " port. The football came first to a few years later.
The club's first major sporting highlight came in 1924, when Viborg FF brought home the championship in Mesterrækken . The series was the best in Jutland , so it was a great title at the time of the mid-Jutland cathedral .
Throughout the 50s fought VFF to get up in the divisions , but only in 1959 did it come up in 4th division for the first time since qualifying them had failed at several right by and almost attempts. One of the players who were involved in uprooting Erik Bundgaard. His 421 appearances for the club stood as a club record until the spring of 2008, when Mr. Viborg , Jakob Glerup , sat on this great club record . When Jacob is still active , is as yet unknown how many matches he could reach before he stops his great professional career.
Apart from a few seasons in the early seventies , Viborg FF since 1959, has never been placed in tournaments subdivision rows
Viborg FF was one of the first clubs in the country to introduce professionalism in 1978. This meant contemporaries that the club should have both a professional department as an amateur Department.
The club's chief achievement was in the 1999/2000 season , where the bronze with minimal margin blinked , whereas you could be celebrating as winners of the national cup, DONG Cup.
Viborg F.F is currently playing in the Superliga, after a great performance last year where they came 1st in 1. Division.
Viborg F.F will be looking to stay up in their first year in the Superliga, but they will need to play at their very best.
At the moment, the club is without a manager, but they are on the hunt for the right man for the Viborg F.F-job.
