Hi, I'm Didz, and some of you will remember me from my FM 2012 story 'Bring Me Sunshine' and my FM 2013 sequel 'Bring Me Sunshine II'. This year I've decided not to carry on my Bring Me Sunshine series and begin a new FM Adventure!

I've chosen Brentford in League One, predicted 3rd, and hope to eventually achieve success in the Premier League! To achieve this goal I have an initial 5 Year Plan:

Promotion from League One - 1-2 Seasons
Promotion from Premier League - 2-3 Seasons.

I will be starting my story in a few hours with a round up of my squad, signings and pre-season results, including screenshots. I hope you all enjoy my forthcoming story and provide regular feedback.

Thanks

Didz
Before I start my pre-season fixtures, I want to show you my first team before I make and transfers, 3 Key players, tactics and fixtures.

First Team:

This is a strong team for League One, with only one main weakness. Sam Saunders is only decent League One standard, and right wing isn't his strongest position, he prefers right midfield.

3 Key Players:

Adam Forshaw

Adam is a terrific player for League One. Operating in Centre Midfield, he has a current ability of Good Championship and a potential ability of Good Premier League! He is going to be key for the next couple of seasons!

Clayton Donaldson

Clayton is the top front man for Brentford this season! With an ability of Leading League One, I have no doubt he will be banging in the goals for fun!

Tony Craig

Tony adds vital experience to a relatively young squad. At Centre back or Left Back, and an ability of Good Championship player, he will be a rock at the heart of our defence.

Tactics:

Fixtures:

Thanks for reading, I hope you all look forward to my Pre Season Fixtures update and possible signings! Come on Brentford!

TRANSFER NEWS

Brentford complete double swoop for experienced duo

Brentford have completed the free transfers of Jay Bothroyd and Albert Crusat (Below)

Bothroyd, 31, is a striker that has played for many clubs during his career, including Cardiff and Wolves, and achieved a Cap for England during his time at Cardiff.

Crusas, 31, is a left winger that most recently played for Wigan Athletic in the Premier League and is known for his pace.

PRE-SEASON RESULTS

Boreham Wood 0-4 Brentford

A good solid win to start off pre season!

Brentford 1-2 Burnley

Unlucky in defeat.

Hayes & Yeading 2-3 Brentford

A tricky fixture but still came out with a win at the end.

So that's the end of pre season, we looked good going forward, solid in midfield, but conceding 2 at Hayes & Yeading was ultimately a disappointment. First League game is away at Port Vale. Wish me Luck! See you at the end of August!
yes mid table I reackon for u first season hehe
Hoping for Play-Offs minimum really, I know my squad is good enough, and now we have the right balance between youth and experience, but who knows?! Lets see what happens!
indeed good luck
Good luck in league one in my save they came 3rd 3 points behind Wolves in second.
Good luck mate! will be following this story closely as I am a Brentford fan! we've got a really good squad capable of getting promotion! If Saunders doesn't work out wide on the right put Donaldson there instead as he plays there quite often for us!
Good luck! Hopefully you'll get promoted!
Thanks guys, and Lee, after I failed to signed like 2 wingers, I signed Crusat and moved Fillo on to the right. Cheers for the responses!
Very good idea mate! looks like you've got in good addition's to the squad!

Cheers mate!

Results

Port Vale 1-4 Brentford

What an opening day result, Jay Bothroyd scored 2 and gained Man of the Match on his Debut!

Stevenage 3-1 Brentford (Capital One Cup)

We were incredibly unlucky in this match, just luck at the stats! On the positive side it allows us to have my focus on the League.

Brentford 1-1 Sheffield United

A really disappointing home draw in another match we dominated.

Gillingham 1-4 Brentford

Another 4-1 away day win. Despite Tony Craig getting Man of the Match for his 2 goals, I think Albert Crusat deserved it more because he got all 4 assists!

Brentford 4-3 Walsall

What a game! Martin Fillo off the bench to win it! Brilliant!

Brentford 2-0 Carlisle

A solid win to make our impressive first month even better!

League Table

Player of the Month

Brilliant first month! Top of the League! Albert Crusat had an amazing month! All of my new signings seem to be settling in well. Just the one mega disappointing result at Stevenage in the Cup but apart from that, onwards and upwards! Oh, and just 1 more thing...

September Update

DISAPPOINTING DEADLINE DAY FOR BRENTFORD FANS AS THERE ARE NO NEW ARRIVALS, BUT THERE IS A DEPARTING PLAYER

Shaleum Logan (below) has left Brentford to join Championship side Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £300,000. Brentford boss Helme has said "I've decided to let Shaleum go because I thought his first team opportunities will be limited this season due to Javi Venta and Kevin O'Connor. I wish him all the best in the future."

Results

Brentford 1-2 MK Dons (Johnstone's Paint Trophy)

Very, very disappointing.

Bradford 3-3 Brentford

Thankful of the draw really. Seem to be leaking a lot of goals. Craig's second goal was a freak goal from inside our own half!

Tranmere 3-3 Brentford

Another high scoring disappointing draw. Thank God for Clayton Donaldson!

Brentford 3-1 Leyton Orient

Comfortable-ish win, Clayton's at it again! PS I don't know why I played in my away kit.

Coventry 1-4 Brentford

Convincing win, Clayton's on FIRE!

League Table

Player of the Month: Clayton Donaldson

A decent month, lots of goals scored, especially by Clayton, but too many goals being conceded. Very disappointed to get knocked out of the JPT, but like I said last month, it gives me more focus on the league. Thanks for reading and see you in October!

October Update

Results

Brentford 2-0 Rotherham

A comfortable win.

Stevenage 1-2 Brentford

Payback for the cup!

Brentford 2-2 Colchester

Disappointing, especially at 2-0 down. Should be winning these games at home.

Bristol City 0-3 Brentford

Excellent away win, one of the toughest games of the season.

Brentford 2-1 Shrewsbury

A standard home win.

Player of the Month: Harlee Dean

FA Cup Draw

Martin Fillo

A brilliant month! 4/5 games won and still unbeaten. Harlee Dean has been a rock in the defence this month and duly deserved my player of the month. We had a good draw in the FA Cup, lets hope we don't go out again, and unfortunate news about Martin Fillo, which results in me having another bloody right wing dilemma! Finally, I received manager of the month. Massive game against Wolves next month. Come on Brentford!
