Dundee United have today announced that Jackie McNamara has decided to part ways with Dundee United after an argument with the Board saw them terminate Jackie McNamara's contract, paying nearly £500,000 to Mr McNamara.

Dundee United now are looking for a suitable replacement for Jackie McNamara, many have said that a young talented Manager with good fresh ideas would be suitable for the job.

Dundee United hire Jamie Martin

Dundee United have appointed rookie manager Jamie Martin as the new manager of Dundee United, after talks and talks with experienced managers, they have decided this is the right man for the job, the Chairman said:

'He is a good young manager with good fresh ideas to make this club go as far as possible under his leadership, it doesn't matter what age or what experience you have, if you're good enough, you're old enough.'

This appointment has shocked us all, but maybe the 30 year old can shock the world, bring Dundee United to the top, or maybe his time at Dundee United will be short, we will have to wait and see.
Good Luck :)
Good luck!

Dundee United get 2 English League Stars on Loan

Dundee United have signed two stars from the English Leagues in Donal McDermott and Josh Morris. Donal McDermott coming on loan from Bournemouth, a natural Irish attacking midfield, his pace and creativity will help Dundee United in the new season. They have also signed John Morris, a English pacey Left Back on loan from Blackburn, giving Dundee United a more attacking, pacey option in the Left Back position.

Martin had this to say: 'I'm obliviously pleased with my two signings, McDermott giving us that option of depth in the Attacking Midfield role, while Morris gives us also depth but a pacey, attacking nature to his game which will help this United side.'

Obliviously two very good signings by Jamie Martin here but will he sign more?

Pre-Season Review

Dundee UTD 4-2 Lech Poznan

Clachnacuddin 1-1 Dundee UTD

Livingston 0-0 Dundee UTD

Pre Season Review:

A decent pre-season, but I would of liked to get results against Clachnacuddin and Livingston.
