TK's Unemployment Challenge

Hello everybody and welcome to another one of my stories. I know that my Slavia Prague story was extremely short lived. In fact, I know what you're thinking – What story is he on about? Forget about that, that's gone now!

I also know that this isn't a very original idea, with James' story going. But I hope to emulate the success of his story, while also making this my own. Therefore to keep it fresh, I won't be loading England up. Instead, I'll be starting in France. France is a country that I've never done a save in, so it will be a new experience for me.

I will set my manager with Sunday League reputation as I don't want big teams to be coming in for me, what's the point in that? My character won't be fictional or famous, it'll just be me. If I get far enough into this save, then I will eventually move on to another country, but that will be in a long time. I won't be trying to use any fancy stuff like Graphics, and I doubt that I'll be doing much else than just monthly updates.

I hope that you all follow and enjoy this story, I'm aiming to stay with this one for a long time. The following are my goals for this story.

Above are my goals for the story, so I'll doing the next update once I sort out the actual save itself!

So, as you do when you're unemployed, I searched for jobs, I wasn't really expecting anything good because of my past experience but I was bound to find something eventually.

Two teams were without a manager when I loaded up the game.

I applied for both teams, I knew that I wasn't going to get the Valenciennes job, but come on! Red Star were in the bottom league, they couldn't really be picky!

I guess I was wrong! Really though, REALLY! Am I that much of an amateur, that bottom league teams reject me? I don't know, I guess life goes on though, I'll just have to carry on searching!

Rejected again! Not too broken up about it though, I honestly didn't expect to get the job anyway!

So I was back on the job hunt! Two teams rejected me so far, plenty more to come. I simmed a bit more and noticed that another team needed a manager.

This was a job that I was very interested in! Spain has some great youth and it would be very fun to manage the Spain U19's.

It's a good job that I wasn't too hopeful. It's an oppertunity missed but there will be plenty more in the future.

July wasn't the greatest month, 3 job applications, 3 rejections! But I'll keep soldiering on until I can get a job. I'm hoping that I'll have more opportunities in August!
