Since my last story ended with my hard drive in a land fill somewhere, I am going to start again, this time with Sheffield United instead of Peterborough. I promise that I will keep this one going.
My name is James Callaghan, the man from Northern Ireland.

I think I'll just skip the employment stuff, and just throw you into the:

Pre-Season Update

Transfers

In

Hugo Colace - Free
Danny Lafferty - Burnley - £900k
Luca Gasparotto - Rangers - £325k
Jamal Blackman - Chelsea - Loan
Connor Hunte - Free
Marc Pugh - Bournemouth - £1.5m
Luke Giverin - Free
Some really good transfers, apart from Colace. I sacked the scout that told me that Colace 'should be regarded as a definite purchase.'

Out

Otis Khan - Chester - Loan
Harry Maguire - Crystal Palace - £2.1m
Michael Boateng - Free
Maguire would have been great in my team, but he requested to move. Khan is really performing for Chester, and Boateng is crap.

Friendly results

It started really badly.
Sheffield United 1-5 Bayer Leverkusen

Sheffield United:
Gasparotto (2)
Bayer Leverkusen:
Gasparotto (14 O.G)

Man of the Match: Andi Haag

Newport County 2-0 Sheffield United
Scorers:
Newport County:
Willmot (68)
Porter (90+1)
Man of the Match: Max Porter
This match was particularly embarrassing, as they have just been promoted to the football league.

York 0-2 Sheffield United
Scorers:
Sheffield United:
Brandy (20)
McGinn (24)
Man of the Match: Fabien Brandy

Havant and Waterlooville 0-2 Sheffield United
Scorers:
Sheffield United:

Man of the Match: Lyle Taylor

Our season starts with Notts County at home, a match that we will likely win. Wish me luck!

Callaghan vs. Blackwell

After a 2-1 cup defeat with Bury, James Callaghan commented on the penalty that cost his team the match.
"I appreciate that refereeing is hard, but I bet their goalkeeper knew that it was never a penalty.
After this, Kevin Blackwell said that Callaghan was talking nonsense after the match. The ongoing debate is not set to end soon, with Callaghan tipping Bury as relegation favourites and that Blackwell is 'winning the sack race'. Sky Sports will keep you updated on this ongoing debate.

After a player decided to rugby tackle the air, we lost our match in the Capital One Cup in the 82nd minute. I hope I never have that referee again.
