Genie Scout version: 14g 1.1, 14.2.2
Windows XP Service Pack 3
Hi
Today Genie decided to misbehave and throw up the following error.
![]()
This happens when I try to load up a game within Genie and always happens during 'Coverting People Indexes'. I have also tried the usual things i.e reinstalling, cleaning the registry, et cetera.
The only thing I can think of is a possible conflict or similar with the 'official real-time editor' which I have recently installed. Just thought I would post this incase others are experiencing a similar problem and also in the hope of a remedy to this.
Cheers.
UPDATE
I have also tried the freeware version and still the same error (as above) comes up in exactly the same way.
Also, I created a new game and saved it from the start under the name 'New Save';
'New Save' size is 30,989kb
I was then offered a job in December (from unemployed) from Woking which I then saved again under a new name;
'Woking' save is 55,347kb
So I have two save games from the same database, only difference are the sizes.
Genie loads fine with the 'New Save' game but fails to load the 'Woking' save even though they both use the same database.
Hope this makes sense and assists Eugene in any way.
