Range error check on continents

So I had a problem which was everytime I try to install the GS it would give me this error: ACCESS DENIED.
Installed GS in my dad's PC and it installed very well so I copied the files from there and put them in my computer.
Now when I load my game it says this error: "Range error check on continents". Then when I try to close the window this error shows up: "Access violation at address 0040722E in module "FMGenieScout.exe". Write of address 00000014."

same problem for me.
reinstalled it 2 times, it works on first time, then I get this "range cehck erro on continents" error..
is there a solution ?
