Former England captain David Beckham said he is "living a dream" as he outlined his plans for a new Miami-based Major League Soccer franchise.
The 38-year-old, who retired as a player last May, wants to recruit some of "the best players" to help make the club "loved by millions". No date has been set for when the side would enter MLS. he former midfielder, who also had spells with Real Madrid, AC Milan and Paris St-Germain, added: "This is an exciting time for myself, my family, my friends and partners, and it is something we are really looking forward to bringing to Miami.

"We're planning to bring a team that will be a global team. I want to create a team that we can start from scratch and I am going to work hard for this city to make this team very successful. It is an exciting time.
"I have worked with some of the biggest clubs and greatest players and this is a dream."
Beckham, who won the Champions League, the Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1 as a player, would not confirm any names of players he wants to attract to Miami.
"We will bring great players in," he said. "The fortunate thing about my career is players are already interested in coming to Miami.
"The one thing I want to achieve is to set up a kids' academy. We want local talent, not just great players from abroad.
"The way the US team have improved has been incredible and the only way that will continue is to have good academies."
Beckham has long had an ambition to own a team in the US.
good start i will be following
Great start lad, keep this up and this story will go far! Good luck!

Miami United to enter MLS

Just days after announcing the club, Beckham has got Miami United into the MLS. With no squad or staff, many are thinking Beckham has rushed this decision but he completely backs the idea.

"I can build a team and staff. Many have already expressed their desire to join the club and we are close to a few signings already."

Rumour has it that Miami have been granted a place in the league because of a financial crisis at another club. This could lead to their elimination from the MLS.
Beckham is likely to recruit many of his past team-mates and friends from his illustrious career. Also Manchester United have expressed their desire to help David by setting up an affiliation with the Miami club. This will help Beckham financially and players wise.
great Idea for a story and nice start :)

Ryan Giggs Signs for Miami

Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs, has signed for new club Miami United as a player/coach. The player has stated as soon as becks called him, he couldn't say no.

"I want to help David and Miami reach the top. David is a top man and his intentions for this club are fantastic. I feel there needs to be more people like him in football"

Miami are far from done with no other players or staff and the season fast approaching. Beckham needs to start spending money wisely and on the right players. Also he is yet to announce the manager of MUFC. Of course there is a lot of speculation over the matter but Beckham has refused to comment on all of it.
Great idea, good luck mate! :)
Nice twist bringing in Giggs, big fan of Beckham, good luck
Great signing! :D
A great start to a story that has a lot of potential. Keep it up.
