Hello readers, welcome to my new story No More Villans, where I will be managing Aston Villa FC. In this story I will be taking Aston Villa from the lower half of the Premier League to playing in the Champions League within a few seasons.

I personally love to manage lower end teams, so Aston Villa seemed to be the best team to do a story on, having had a terrible last season. Throughout this story I will be current manager Paul Lambert as I feel he is a brilliant manager, who has bags of potential.

The Squad

Aston Villa have a very young and promising squad with a lot of potential. Most of the players in the squad are quite decent but there are a few crappy players who I want to get rid of like Chris Herd and Alan Hutton. Aston Villa do have the potential to be one of the best attacking teams in the Premier League with Benteke, Agbonlahor, Weimann, Kozák, Helenius and Holt. I feel that if I played Benteke up front, with Weimann and Agbonlahor just to the sides of him I could get goals easily. Aston Villa also have a fairly stern back four with Lowton, Vlaar, Okore and Bertrand going to be the main four this season. Although Villa have a decent defence and attack they lack real depth in the midfield area, where the players are either not premier league quality or too young, the only exceptions being Karim El Ahmadi and Fabian Delph who in my opinion are two fairly good box to box midfielders. I will be looking to bring a new central midfielder to the club, maybe more attacking minded.

AVTV Interview: Paul Lambert

Hello ladies and gentlman and welcome to AVTV interviews, today we are going to be interviewing current manager, Paul Lambert.

AVTV: So Paul, firstly, what went wrong last season?

Lambert: I can't say it was part of my plan because it wasn't. To be honest we were terrible, we had so many injuries, added to the absence of Petrov.

AVTV: Despite the team not playing so well, Christian Benteke probably had the best season of his career, what are you thoughts on him?

Lambert: Christian is a brilliant player, everyone at the club likes him and get on well with him. Some times his attitude can let him down a bit but it still does not effect that ability.

AVTV: What position in the squad do you feel needs to be improved?

Lambert: Midfield. We lack real depth there and I will certainly be looking for someone who can play there.

AVTV: Finally, is there anyone you have identified as a possible transfer target?

Lambert: Yes, at the moment we are looking at Mark Noble and that transfer looks very likely to happen!

That's all from today's interview folks, join next time when we will be picking the brains of another Aston Villa member.
I think benteke has a wonderful attitude
