Evening All...My Liverpool story got corrupted, and in light of Newcastle's success in my previous saves; i've decided to take Newcastle United on a journey to the successes they've previously enjoyed, and beyond them!

First of all though, I took a look at the squad, to analyse what we'd need this coming season.

Goalkeepers

Overall, there's no real backup for Tim Krul, so my move here may well be to loan out Alnwick, sell Elliot, and bring a backup in ASAP.

Fullbacks

Overall, i'm happy with the strength i've got here...although i've only got one right back, as opposed to my 3 left backs...there may be some balancing work here to ensure i'm not caught short.

Centrebacks

A position which will need improving, but not as a matter of complete urgency...i think we've got enough depth to be going on with.

Midfielders

In the formation I was hoping to play, there's definitely some improvements to be made here, although i've now realised a slight flaw in my plan...

Attacking Midfielders

There is far too much quality here to abandon the wings completely, which is what my ideal formation would have done...definitely something to be considered...

Strikers

Plenty of class here, which will be tough to sort through and find a consistent, successful partnership/lone striker
