Hi! My name is Gavin Owen and I am from Wales. I have always loved football and especially Swansea City. I have bought season ticket after season ticket to watch The Swans play at the Liberty Stadium. I have always wanted to become a football manager and manage my beloved Swansea in the Premier League, so last summer I put this dream into action by gaining my coaching badges. Obviously I know I won't be able to jump straight into managing Swansea or any other big team straight away as I am virtually unkown in the footballing world, but I plan on taking my name and, through winning various trophies, take my name to the top of the Welsh hall of fame, maybe even one day topping the World hall of fame! There are various trophies I would like to achieve and I already have a plan of action to take me to the top.

So the Journey starts from here, I will put my name out to vacant jobs and see what happens. Wish me luck!!!!

Good luck!

Wexford Youths hire unkown Welshman

Wexford Youths have today announced the appointment of 26 year-old welshman Gavin Owen as manager. This is Gavin's first managerial job and he is keen to do well.

Reporter: This is your first venture into management how are you feeling about this job?
Gavin: I'm absolutely delighted to be hired by Wexford, I have friends who support them and where delighted to hear the news as much as me! They are a club who have potential and hopefully one day we can become the best team in Ireland.
Reporter: So your plan is to take them to the top of Wales?
Gavin: Absolutely, isn't that what every manager wants to do? That's certainly what I want to do in my career, take teams to the top. I am really looking forward to this, we are already in and I'm looking to see if we can do something with that. We aren't predicted to do very well in the League but I believe I can take the club further than predicted.
Reporter: Thank you for taking your time out to answer my questions Gavin, good luck to you and your future in football.
Gavin: Thanks!
Good luck mate!

2014 Pre Season

So this is where it all begins, not in Wales but in the Irish First Division with Wexford Youths. I am looking forward to building my reputation with this club that were formed in 2007 so they are a very new club.

This is what you get in the Irish First Division, nothing like the Irish Premier League but I feel I can work with it. My plans are to finish somewhere in mid-table in my first season and pick up next season with more money and better, more developed players. I'm predicted to finish 5th which sounds high but you have to bare in mind that there is only 8 clubs in a league where teams play each other 4 times.

The facilities actually don't look that bad, with super training facilities and average youth facilities I can see that this is an ambitous club. I am really looking forward to the future and improving these facilities even more when I eventually get into the Premier League.

During the winter the board decided to link up with Premier League side Dundalk F.C. in a affiliation which let's Dundalk send players on loan to us. These players' wages will be payed in full by the Premier League side.

As you can see I don't have the best of teams but the bright side is that this is a young team and hopefully after a season in mid-table they can push on and try and kick us on to the Premier League. I have 1 Keeper who is very poor, this is a problem. I will have to put up with this, however, as I literally have no more money and there is no-one better than him that will be willing to join.

The friendlies were full of ups and downs with the ups most certainly being the victory over Bohs and Drogheda. But the 6-0 loss to U.C.D. and the 1-1 draw to Arklow I was appalled at and we will have to work on buffing out issues shown in these games.
A decent pre-season for you mate, 6-0 loss though doesn't look too good! Keep up these good updates!
Ergh, not Wexford... just kidding, I have no idea who they are ;) Good luck! :D
2014 Season

These are the league results. We have done so much better than I first expected! We started off brilliantly getting so many wins and even though we slowed down at the end we still played fantastically. We finished 1 point off top of the league and qualified for the playoffs.

We beat Finn Harps in the Playoff game, we didn't play too well in the first leg but we came back in the second leg and took them to penalties and won the game on a high scoring penalty shoot-out.

WE DONE IT! First time of asking we are promoted to the Premier League! I can't wait to upgrade my squad and play in the top division, my career is off to a flying start!

We done well in both the cups aswell, I would be lieing if I said that I wasn't dissapointed not to get to the final of the League Cup but even the semis were amazing to get to.
