Cellino Wins Leeds Appeal

Following the disqualification of Massimo Cellino's proposed takeover of Leeds United, Cellino appealed against the decision which was counted as dishonest. But today, after the appeal being heard by the independent Queen's Counsel Tim Kerr the decision was overturned and in a bizarre turn of events, the Italian now owns Leeds United Football Club!

"Today I feel right decision was made by the independent QC as I am fit and proper to run football club here in England. A country good for football. I have made lot of plans for the Leeds United regime before and now I will use them" Said Cellino

"Today I feel is important day for Leeds football team and fans because I think I can take Leeds back to where they belong which is Premier League"

Cellino still owns his current club Cagliari but with an American-based consortium preparing to make an offer for the club that will soon be resolved. Cellino will remain as president of Leeds United until this deal happens.

The Sun sports columnist Simon Austin has already found out who will be involved in the backroom staff, he speaks to Sky Sports News now:

"There was another group of people wanting to buy Leeds United, that was a consortium led by former Manchester United Global Managing Director Mike Farnan and Andrew Flowers, who works for Enterprise Insurance, Leeds United's official kit sponsor. Massimo Cellino has promised his two sons Ercole and Edoardo Cellino that they will have an involvement in the running of the club"

Cellino has made many promises for Leeds United fans that he thinks are achievable. He said to The Sun:

  • I will take Leeds United back to the Premier League by 2016

  • I will bring in English and internationally known players to Leeds United (Many play for Cagliari

  • Keep Leeds United financially stable

Many Leeds fans on Twitter have welcomed Cellino with open arms after reading this news in the national papers and hearing a phone call to a Leeds fan that, without Cellino knowing had been recorded and exploited all over the social networking site within 5 hours of its release.

Great OP! Looking forward to how this goes!
Good luck mate! I like this club very much and can't wait to see it back in Premier League!
Hazard: Thanks :)

AAN: Cheers :)

Cagliari Pals Available

New Leeds United owner has used his current stake in Cagliari wisely and is on the brink of selling a few of its players to Leeds.

"I still have the majority stake over at Cagliari and I know that the American group will buy Cagliari and Leeds is in desperate need for good quality players to lift them into the Premier League and I believe Cagliari have the right quality players"

A photo doing the rounds on Twitter last night was a conversation between Massimo Cellino's son, Edoardo and a Leeds United fan on Facebook. Edoardo stated that his father was looking to bring in international stars such as Colombian international Victor Ibarbo, Italian centre back Davide Astori and up-and-coming Brazilian Adryan.

Leeds fans on Twitter have become very excited about this news whereas on the other hand, Cagliari fans are disgusted at the actions of the Cellino family.
Good luck, nice start!
