WHY SCHALKE 04?
Schalke 04 have always been seen as one of the best football clubs in Germany, however Bayern Munich or North-Rhine rivals Borussia Dortmund have hogged most of the glory in recent years. The aims of the story are to complete the following before the release of Football Manager 2015:
  • Win the Bundesliga
  • Win the Champions League
  • Become a dominant force in Germany

WHO AM I?

In this story, I will be Vincent Jones, a former Leeds and Wimbledon defender known for his crunching tackles against opponents. I have been a Leeds United supporter for many years, and have always seen "Vinnie" as a club legend.

Vincent Jones was born on January 5, 1965 in Watford, a town located in the County of Hertfordshire. At the age of 24, Howard Wilkinson signed Vinnie Jones from Wimbledon, however at the time Leeds were in the Second Division. He was a solid defender throughout the whole season, and was probably one of the main reasons Leeds won promotion to the First Division that season.

He was sold to Sheffield United in the Summer of 1990 as he lost his first-team place to youngsters David Batty and Gary Speed. He is seen as a legend to Leeds United despite the sale, and many Leeds supporters were disappointed with the decision to sell him. He regularly visits Elland Road, the stadium of Leeds United. Vincent became a very solid defender, and also enjoyed later spells at Chelsea, Wimbledon, and Queens Park Rangers before his retirement at the end of the 1998-1999 season.

WELSH MANAGER ARRIVES

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/About/General/2012/1/20/1327065036792/Vinnie-Jones-007.jpg
In a surprising turn of events, Leeds and Wimbledon legend Vinnie Jones has been appointed as the new manager of German giants, Schalke 04. The Welsh-English manager has arrived at Schalke's training ground today with no previous manager or coaching experience. This has shocked the club's supporters heavily, however they have trust in their new manager.

The manager will manage his first career game against Zenit St. Petersburg, however low expectations have been set for this match. The game will take place in North Russia, with very few Schalke supporters planned to make the journey. Zenit fans on the other hand are planned to fill up their home stadium for the important game.

A change in staff is unlikely, following the manager's first press conference when Vinnie stated he was impressed with the backroom staff. He did however state that he would look into hiring several more coaches for the Gelsenkirchen-based club.
Nice start mate :D
Nice start, hopefully you'll finally overthrow Bayern to become the superior German side... You stick a cheeky loan bid for Holtby in, see if you can bring him back!
Really nice graphics, and your doing well in the league :)
Nice going in the league so far, Vinnie Jones! nice choice :)
