City Stick With Pearson
Leicester City have announced that manger Nigel Pearson has signed a new deal with the Championship side. It was rumoured that Leicester would let Pearson leave and bring in a new boss to lead them to promotion. But The King Power group, the owners, have decided to extend Pearson's time as Leicester manager.

Pearson re-joined City in 2011 and has overseen 135 games winning 68 matches. Supporters of the club are pleased with the decision to keep Nigel Pearson as manager and believe he is the man to lead Leicester into the Premiership. It was also announced that Pearson had the financial backing of the board and would be allowed to make a few signings.

Good luck pal not seen many Leicester city stories
Hopefully you'll take them into the PL first time asking.. Who are your targets?

Jim White today met with Leicester City manager to discuss the clubs goals for the upcoming Championship season as well as transfer targets for the club.

JW" Nigel, the team had a wonderful pre-season scoring 19 goals in 4 games and only conceding 3 times. Winning these four games and scoring so many goals must give you confidence heading into the weekends match against Middlesbrough."
NP" Yes our pre-season form was exceptional this year and has given the squad a lot of confidence heading into the season. Although we played weaker teams than ourselves it was still impressive for us to perform the way we did,

JW" Many supporters have been eager to see new faces arrive during the window, is there any deals that are close to completion"
NP" At the moment I'm afraid we are not close to making any new signings. It has been a frustrating transfer window so far because I have my targets but we have not managed to get them.

JW" Are you hopeful you will get some new faces in before the window closes?"
NP" Well yes, I hope to get at least one new signing in before the window closes. We will be looking for a player that can bring something to the team and at the moment we are finding it difficult to sign these quality players."

JW" Lastly, what are your ambitions for the season"
NP" Both myself and the players are looking to secure a play-off position in the league. We know that we have the quality to do this but the Championship is very strong this year and it will be a tough campaign"

Here are Leicester's pre-season results:

Player of the Month: Anthony Knockaert
Some nice results there, one thing I would recommend is putting the update central. You don't have to it jus looks a lot neater than everything stuck on the left

Leicester Sign Youngster

Leicester City and Manchester United have agreed a deal for United youngster Jesse Lingard to join the Championship side. The deal will cost Leicester around £3.7 million. The deal was agreed shortly after Leicester's victory against Charlton. Jesse Lingard is believed to be a young man with a bright future ahead of him. Lingard expressed his feelings of delight after completing his move to City.

Nigel Pearson also revealed that Leicester City have agreed a deal for Stuttgart' s young central midfielder Raphael Holzhauser(20) who is currently on loan at Bundesliga side Augsburg. The two clubs have agreed a fee of £6.5 million and the Austrian midfielder will join Leicester on 01/07/14.

After an unbeaten month Leicester supporters are optimistic on their teams chances of reaching the Premier League this season. Nigel Pearson however, is keeping his feet firmly on the ground telling the media that it is only one good month and does not prove his side are going to earn promotion. With the transfer window now closed Leicester will be hoping that their squad is strong enough to continue their recent good form.

Holzhauser will join at the end of the seson
Some very good signings there! Good luck with Leicester! They have potential to be a big team
