Real Valladolid have only ever won the Liga Adelante thrice and the Spanish League cup way back in 1984. Having finished 14th in last season, they are now looking to emerge a new force in spanish football.

"What a game of paintball. Now I feel 5 years younger", said Cesar. That is when suddenly his phone rang. He answered to find that he was talking to Carlos Suarez, the club President of Real Valladolid.

Suarez - Cesar, my boy. How long has it been??

Cesar - I don't know. I don't think you were the President when I played for the Pucela.

Sanchez - I know, I know. But you do know Alberto Marcos right??

Cesar - Yeah I do. He's just like me. Madrid and Valladolid. Been buddies for long.

Sanchez - Well he's our Director of Football and he wants to talk to you about a osition at the club. Would you come in tomorrow??

Cesar - Sure. I'm free.

A day later.

Always love a good spanish story.

Good luck

As I walked into the club training ground for my first training session, the players were all happy that I had returned back. But I could still sense that some of them did not like my appointment.

I felt that my first day of training went pretty well. But soon I got a call from Wolfburg manager Robin Dutt. All he said was "He's coming here no matter what you think. I have got him to agree a contract and he's happy to move. Name your price for Patrick Ebert."

I froze. This was my first transfer dealing. Oh my god, what do I say. I told him I would get back to him in some time and I rang up Alberto immediately. He told me to quote 7 million. I didn'tcall back the whole day. The next day morning, Dutt called again. "Quote your price". "7 million, take it or leave it", I said. Done was all he said to me. Alerto ironed out the rest of the matter I guess. Late that afternoon, I got another call. This time it was Alberto. He told me there was a bid from Sociedad for Oscar. The amount was 3 Million. I told Oscar to come to my office the next day. I sat him down and asked if he wanted to play in the Champions League. He was ecstatic. Told me I was crazy. That's when I told him what was going on. He said he'll think about it and get back to me.

But the next day Alberto told me that Oscar told him he wanted to take the deal. And there goes another good player I thought.
Adan signs for Valladolid

In a press release today, Cesar revealed that Valladolid had signed Antonio Adan on a free transfer. This was his statement.

"We do have Jaime and Diego Marino, but I felt our Goalkeeper position had to be strengthened and Adan is perfect for that. He is just like me. Started off at the Madrid academy and now he is going to be Valladolid's no.1"

Media reports that Jaime is being offered to clubs is also widespread.
