Going across the River: A Tranmere Rovers story

This is actually FM-related, despite what it looks like at the start.

I'd been in Liverpool for two days when this first started. I never had any plans for what happened at all! I just wanted my life to be normal, you know? I just wanted to wake up, go to university, come home, play Football Manager and then sleep. Unfortunately, things were much more complicated than that.

I was just walking down the road, wearing my Tranmere shirt.
"Oy, you!" Someone called out to me, "you don't want to be seen wearing that shirt around here; you'll get fucking battered!" I saw that the man was wearing an Everton shirt. He didn't seem like a friendly person, so I immediately assumed he was a hooligan.
"Ha! Will I fuck!" I replied to the man, "bunch of nonces round here just gave me a couple dirty looks and moved on!"
"You know what? You've got balls! You could be useful! Come with me and I'll introduce you to the rest of the firm..."
I knew that I was almost certainly making a mistake, but I went with him anyway. When we found the other firm members, I knew I was making a mistake.
"Piss off back to Anfield, you Kopite twat!" One man shouted at a Liverpool fan who was throwing eggs at the Everton "safe house". Life wasn't going to be easy. I could already tell.
Very interesting start :) Good Luck!
Haha nice start ;) Where is my money? I commented -.-

Thank you for replying! You've earned yourself £50 a £1 coin with Teletubby Stam replacing the Queen!

I'm afraid Arsenal was one move ahead!
O.o You've certainly piqued my interest.

Thank you for being interested in this; a story about thugs! :P
What Arvindo said :P
The man had introduced himself as Duncan. The other members were called Paul, James, Bob, William, Tim, Stuart and Jeff. The leader was called Donald. Each of them were well-built, dangerous looking men. I had to be very careful. Duncan showed me around the safe house; there were two notable rooms: a room with an old television and a PlayStation 2 inside it, with two wireless controllers lying on a battered sofa. There was a larger room with a lot of old mattresses and sheets on the ground. They used this room as a hospital. We were a stone's throw away from Anfield, and even closer to the Liverpool safe house.

Duncan went into the kitchen and got three beers from the fridge, which he opened with his bare hands. He drank from one, and gave one to me. The third was for Donald. In fairness to Duncan, he was trying to be as nice as possible, but he still intimidated me.
I like the sound of this 'Jeff' fella.
