wage budget after first season BSN?

Hello guys,
I wonder if you can help me. I am playing my first ever season of fm and would like to start planning my squad for the next season and here comes the question: is there a rule of thumb on what wage budget to expect after a solid first season? The current budget is 1.8k a week, season goal was to avoid relegation but with 15 games to go we're in 3rd position and have a good shot at direct promotion. So what wage budgets should I expect after:
- direct promotion,
- playoff promotion,
- finishing in the top8?

The biggest wage budget that you can expect after promotion from the BSN would probably be around 4k to 6k. Money is scarce in the lower leagues, so it is highly unlikely to get a budget which is any bigger
