Why Cambridge?

For some reason I always used to play as Cambridge when they were a league team on fifa (which was a long time ago) so after the Play-Off success this season I thought surely I can do better than that surely I can win the league with them so here is my attempt.

But Who Are Cambridge?

Cambridge United were originally founded as Abbey United and were in fact the second team in Cambridge for a long period. When Cambridge became a city they were renamed Cambridge United and their local rivals Cambridge Town were renamed Cambridge City. However they became the larger of the two clubs as they were accepted into the football league. They continued the grow and reached Division 2 (the Championship) in the 80s and 90s however they dropped out the league in 2005 and have so far failed to earn promotion back to the league.

Who am I?

For this game I will be Mark Taylor a 24 year old born in the London Borough of Woolwich who was part of a gang when he was young. He changed his ways after he was shot in the leg by a rival gang in a moment that still haunts him and moved to Cambridge to rid himself of his previous troubles aged 23. He has been a loyal Cambridge United supporter ever since.

My Aims

• Win the Skrill Premier
• Earn promotion to the championship within 5 seasons of promotion to League 2
• Earn promotion to the Premiership within 10 seasons of starting the game
• Win the Premier League
• Win the FA Cup
• Win the Champions League

My story with Anthony McPartlin has been stopped because I got too far ahead and quickly got bored of the save.

Pre-Season

Transfers

Those who didn’t make the cut
Delano Sam Yorke was a fairly young striker who has pretty much reached his potential however with the wealth of talent I have in that position he was left with the prospect of little game time and due to pressure on budgets he was released.

Andy Pugh is again quite young aged only 24 however I quite simply didn’t know why he was here. He was out of his depth in this squad and I released him immediately.

Matthew Barnes-Homer is a veteran striker who is another to be released due to the amount of strikers we have.

The Signings
Euan Smith has been signed on a season long loan from Hibernian and he is a very talented young striker. Those who read Justice’s Path to Power will be very familiar with the striker.
Value for money:

Calum Barrett is a promising young goalkeeper who I have signed on a free transfer after he was released by Aston Villa.
Value for money:
Best of luck buddy, LLM has grown on me and I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Monster signing in Euan Smith :)
