Churriana C.F.

A club that no-one knows, that has never done anything and in real-life probably never will, that's where Football Manager becomes what I believe something special, the chance to give tiny clubs their spot in the limelight and I aim to do that here with little Churriana, a municipality located in the province of Granada with an area of 3 square miles and a population of 8,679 (Thanks Wikipedia!) Now for some FM information about them:

That's pretty much it for an opening post so I shall leave you with a picture of the stadium I'll be making my name in.

Hopefully that list will be full by time the save ends!

The starting squad

As you can see, we have 5 standout players, 4 of which we can build the team around because 2 of our star players are goalkeepers, time to meet those stars:

Jose Maria Cabrera was born in Malaga and started his career here in Churriana making 26 appearances and scoring 15 goals in the 1 season he was in the first team, 2011/12, for 2012/13 he was playing for Tercera Group XI side Alhaurin Torre but only made 4 appearances and couldn't fins the net, now he's back for a 3nd spell.

Little is known about Zarco, or to give him his real name, Javier Jimenez, all I know is that this is his first season at the club, and at any club and he's our first choice goalkeeper born in Malaga.

Pedro Pinto is going to be our starting AMC and he was also born in Malaga and started his career with us in 2010/11 but didn't make an appearance, he then went to Torremolinos in the Tercera Group IX for the 2012/13 season and made 12 appearances but no goals, he is now also back for his 2nd spell.

Marcos Del Cid is the backup Goalkeeper and is another local lad from Malaga, he however didn't start his career with us, he started at Alhaurin Torre in 2011/12 making 1 appearance before being loaned out to us, he made 7 appearances for us in 2011/12 before joining us completely.

Antonio or Antonio Fernandez Cantos was born in Granada and is now in his 3rd season at Churriana, he started out in Tercera Group IX with Arenas de Armilla making 1 appearance before joining La Zubia and making 19 appearances for them, he has also made 47 appearances for us.

Transfer Policy difficulties

It may be early days but so far there are only 2 players interested in joining us, this could be a rocky start...
Really nice update here, a really good start, especially considering you're new here :D

Why thank you Jack :D very glad you like the layout! :) I've gone through the majority of Pre-Season now even though I left it to the assistant, just trying to work out a nice way of laying it all out for the next update.

2013/14 Pre-Season

Transfers (or lack of)

Well I managed to get one of the 2 interested 18 year olds, the one who was without a club and the other player who was at a club wanted £5,000 compensation and I wasn't willing to do that.

With departures we've lost 2 of our key players, Antonio went to Tercera Group X side Pozoblanco and is now earning £325 p/w whereas Marcos Del Cid goes up to the Segunda B3 with Constancia and is earning £300 p/w.

Upa Formoso Carungal the young Angolan DM is our one signing of the window, and at least he has something about him worth shouting about, he was born in Calulo, Angola and started out at Vicar, yes Vicar, he spent the 2011/12 season at Vicar in the Tercera Group IX but failed to make an appearance and now he is here, as the first choice DM.

Friendlies

Churriana 5 - 0 Churriana Under 19's

x3 Jose Maria Cabrera
Kubala
Ismael Trabado

A great first time showing from Jose Maria has his hat-trick gave us a great result even if it was against our under 19's.

Churriana 5 - 0 Adra

Jose Maria Carbrera
Ismael Trabado
Pedro Pinto
Jose Alberto Mata
Antonio Miguel

Another 5-0 thrashing against lower reputation side Adra with a more well rounded scoring effort.

Churriana 3 - 0 Ejido

Jose Maria Carbrera
Deniz Kaya
Guillem Gomez

Another easy win as we dominated the non-league side on paper and on the field.

Churriana 2 - 0 C.D. Barrio

Antonio Linares
Miguel Angel Perez Torres

We dominated the shots and shots on target and looked good for our 2-0 win.

Churriana 3 - 1 Las N orias

Kubala
Raul Cayon
Jorge Crespo

Jose Miguel Maldonado

We conceded our first goal of Pre-Season but I'm still very pleased with the performance.

Churriana 2 - 0 Motril "B"

Ismael Trabado
Fran

Another solid 2-0 win to keep us in good morale.

Churriana 3 - 0 Tugia

Jose Maria Cabrera
Jose Alberto Mata
Miguel Angel Perez Torres

Yet another win against lower league opposition making it 7 from 7!

Churriana 4 - 1 Cullar Vega

Pedro Pinto
Ismael Trabado
Upa Formoso
Roberto Alvarez

Victor

Our 2nd last game of Pre-Season and it's actually not against a lower division side, Cullar Vega are the same division as us so this result fills me with hope for the league campaign!

Churriana 0 - 4 Berja

x3 Calores
Anono

Absolutely gutted, Calores is a beast and he destroyed us, we deserved to lose.

Next we have the Primera Division de Andalucia Grupo II 1st Round which looks like some cup competition and then the league season starts at the start of September.
Great idea mate, really enjoy seeing saves start in lower league management. Best of luck with this.
This is great, an enjoyable read so far! Good luck!
Love the use of bbcodes, a great start for your first (I think) story. I'm a huge fan of Lower League Management so I'm keen to see how you get on! :D
AndySams10 Thanks mate!

tallery1164 Thanks tallery glad you're enjoying it :)

Walter Thanks Walter, yes this is my first story, glad you're liking the bbcodes, thanks for following :)

September 2013

Primera Andaluza Grupo II 1st Round

Churriana 5 - 3 Loja

Attendance: 150

Fran
Manuel Fernandez
Kubala
Jose Maria Carbera
Ismael Trabodo

Jose Maria Mazuecos
Ruben Peces
Juan

Jose Maria Carbera

A great first result against Tercera Group IX club Loja, we were 4-1 up at half time and we nearly threw it away because after 57 minutes it was 4-3, the rest of the game was nervy up until Trabodo scored in the 91st minute to allow me to have a sigh of relief.

Primera Andaluza Grupo II 2nd Round

Atarfe 2 - 1 Churriana

Attendance: 171

Moi
Moleon

Kubala

A disappointing game as we scored the 1st in the 40th minute and had the majority of possession but Atarfe who are also in the league above had the better match fitness and their 2 late goals put them through into the 3rd round...which they lost.

Preferente Melilla Group A - Game 1 of 14

Carboneras 1 - 5 Churriana

Attendance: 164

Ruben (penalty)

David Gonzalez
Pedro Pinto x2
Kubala
Alex Prats

Pedro Pinto

What a smashing way to start the season, a 5-1 win away from home! We were 3-0 up by the 28th minute and 3-1 up at half time, Pedro Pinto's 2nd goal was the best though with a powerful shot outside the box.

Preferente Melilla Group A - Game 2 of 14

Churriana 1 - 0 Pavia

Attendance: 150

Daniel Botello

Fran

Not the most exciting of a home debut but it is 3 points on the board, it was a cagey affair but we had 61% possession which is a positive to take from it even if it took Daniel Botello until the 80th minute to get the goal that broke the deadlock.

Preferente Melilla Group A - Game 3 of 14

Roquetas 1 - 3 Churriana

Attendance: 600

Bili

Fran
Jose Maria Cabrera x2

Jose Maria Cabrera

And thus that brings an end to our month, a good, solid 3-1 win away to Roquetas. Fran opened up the scoring in the 39th minute with Jose doubling our lead in the 74th, Bili brought Roquetas back into the game by scoring in the 76th minute but Jose doubled his goal tally for the game by scoring his 2nd in the 89th minute.

League Table

After just 3 games we hold the lead, but only on goal difference with Ubeda Viva hot on our tail.

A little ending observation

Boy it's funny playing at home since we're on a non-grass surface...

Wow, never seen that before!
That pitch is amazing... I love this idea. Keep it up mate, so much potential for a fantastic long-term story!
Wow that pitch lol, good start, certainly for your first story on here!
