The Alessandro Nesta Story

http://www.corinthianseller.co.uk/prostars/prostars-PRO1517.jpg

Hi and welcome to my first ever Football Manager story. I've been inspired by reading loads of stories so far and thought lets do one myself. I love the aspect of becoming an ex professional and taking them on a managerial journey. I look forward to getting starting. Any help and feedback will be welcome and I hope to chat to like minded people.Enjoy!

Why Nesta?http://www.panorama.it/images/sport/a/13565761-1/Kaka-e-Nesta-il-futuro-del-Milan-viene-dal-passato_h_partb.jpg

After having a shortlist of 15 potential managers to be at one point,(which was just ridiculous). Ive decided to go for Nesta because I feel he has the potential to become a coach and a great one at that. Great tactIcal brain and had an amazing club career. Though he is a world cup winner, his playing career for Italy was always hampered with injury. Nesta was truly one of the best defender to have graced the game, as Mancini was once quoted to had describe him “ The Ronaldo of defenders”.

Why Start At Torino?
http://www.ligafutbol.net/wp-content/2010/10/torino_fc.jpg
I decided not to start at Lazio or AC Milan. I wanted Alessandro to work to get those (dream) jobs. So I thought I start at a club ranked 12th or below in media predictions and try build them. The Turin club have always been in Juventus shadow, other than the Grande Torino team of the 40’s (also the backbone for the national side) in which the whole team and staff died tragically in a plane crash in 1949 the club hasn't really set Italian league alight.

Goals for this Story

To bring some glory back to Torino and win something for the fans
The Ultimate is to become both Lazio/AC Milan manager
win Serie A and the champions league for both.

Good start mate. Love a Serie A story, good luck!
Thanks mate. Same, I think growing up during the 90s when Serie A was king and watching it on TV influence my love for the league.

Lucas Romero Signs for Torino!

http://www.insidespanishfootball.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Lucas-Romero.jpg

New Torino boss Alessandro Nesta has made the young Lucas Romero his first signing.

The under 20’s Argentine international has signed a 4 year deal for an initial £3.5mill increasing to potentially £7mill.

Born in Buenos Aires, the Youngster is being touted as the next Arturo Vidal in south America. Romero similar to the World Class Chilean is an central midfielder that operates best in a Box To Box role, but can also be well adapt to a defensive midfield position and play a role of a Ball Winning Midfielder. Poses great energy levels and even at the tender age of 19 seems to be able to dictate play effortlessly,

Benfica were also in the hunt for the midfielder, but Romero decided the lure of Serie A was to much to turn down.

The new manager of Torino has wasted no time showing his dealing skills in the transfer market. After the coup signing of Lucas Romero, 6 more players have signed for the Turin club. The ex Fulham and current Norway captain Brede Hangeland being the most recent to sign. Fulham wanted to keep hold of the player who's out of contract, but the London side who be playing championship football this season obviously didn't capture the imagination.

Goalkeeper Marco Amelia, Defenders Andrea Dossena, Cristiano Biraghi and Romanian International Miral Radoi all out of contract sign for the club with Simone Pepe of Juventus joining on a year loan deal.

Torino sign Norwegian duo

Review

The pre season has started early for Torino as all the friendlies being played in July. the Europa Qualiflying rounds have done torino no favours in preparing the team and fitness levels will be a problem. Overall the team performed well and be pleased with the last two performances against strong opposition, showing some nice link up play.
With the congested fixtures coming up it is going to be tough start.
