Problem installing FM09 demo on laptop - help!

Hi,
Can anyone advise on getting FM09 to work on a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop? I decided to install the demo before buying the full version, but although it has installed OK (once I'd installed the DirectX SDK), it crashes when I try to run it - FM starts to load but it only gets as far as showing a flashing "L" symbol (for "Loading"?) at the bottom right of the screen before I get a system error saying "FM.exe needs to close".
The laptop has a 1000MHz Pentium III, 512Mb RAM and the graphics driver is a Trident Cyberblade Ai1.
Any advice would be apreciated, even if it is just to let me know my machine is under-specced to run it!

look on the back of the box all of the specifications are there

your laptop sucks mate, the specs arent good enough, you just need a new pc.

@micah - I don't have the box, as I'm only trying the demo to see if my PC will run the game. I have looked up the specs on the FM09 site and mine are close but not exactly at the spec - however, I know that games often work on slighly under-specced machines, which is why I decided to try the demo first.
But if as RedArmy20 says, the specs are way off, then I'll have to give up on the install :-( (Much as I'd love to buy a new laptop, I can't really justify it to run one game ...).
