This is the start of my new story with West Ham United, a well known, popular club from the capital. They have a brief history, in which they have a European Cup Winners Cup to their name, along with 2 Sky Bet Championships which was then Divison 2. They also hold 3 Fa Cups to their name their last being in 1980.

I am taking on this West Ham team from the reigns of Sam Allardyce and some fans may say this is a relief. The save begins at the start of the 2014/2015 season and I have used a download which processed all the summer signings so far thoughout the major world leagues. So that means I already have Enner Valencia, Cheikhou Koyate and Mauro Zarate in my squad. I have been given a wage budget of £9M which gives me a good chance to get some promising players in along with the odd experienced player that every side needs.

The Boleyn Ground, better known as Upton Park will be hoping to have many seasons in the near future filled with pleasing performance, young talent and maybe some trophy success.

The story continues later on...

Over and Out from Upton Park

Looks like a good start. Hopefully you can stop the forever blowing

Right, so my name is Joe, I have become the manager of West Ham United and I am looking to lead them to great success in the next few years. I am looking to build an energetic squad with a mixture of youth and experience. A squad that will play attractive, attacking football and a squad that will receive many plaudits for their wonderful Aesthetic Appreciation.

Now to the members of the squad and there is as follows

Goalkeepers
Jussi Jaaskelainen
Adrian
Raphael Spiegel
Alex McCarthy

Defenders
Guy Demel
Carl Jenkinson
Eder Alvarez Balanta
James Collins
James Tomkins
Cheikhou Kouyate
Aaron Cresswell

Midfielders
Mark Noble (C)
Granit Xhaka
Enner Valencia
Abdul Razak
Ravel Morrison
Stewart Downing
Kevin Nolan

Strikers

Andy Carroll
Mauro Zarate
Carlton Cole
Ricardo Vaz Te

That is my squad as if yet and as you can see there has been movement in the transfer market, we have captured Alex McCarthy from Reading, Granit Xhaka from Borussia Mochengladbach and Eder Alvarez Balanta from River. All three are great young signings with stunning prospects. There have also been departures from the club which include Winston Reid and Mo Diame, full details of every transfer to and from the club will be explained during a Transfer Deadline Day Special.

Pre Season Report

All in all it was a fairly average pre-season. There were mixed results, such as the wins against Anderlecht and AIK, but then there were heavy losses against teams such as Vorskla and Granada and they are two teams we should really be giving a good contest.

The Vorskla result could have some exception as it was the first time the squad had played under me and it was the first chance for me to try out my common 4-3-1-2 formation. But the Granada result was poor, and not a great way to end. It will definitely have knocked some of the players confidence and that is not a good way for us to approach the tough start we have to the new season.

Pre Season Star Player

James Tomkins

It was a pleasing pre season for the experienced West Ham man who has been solid for the Hammers over the last few seasons, he bagged himself two goals in the victory against AIK and one player of the match award. With Balanta being West Ham's first choice centre back it is up to Tomkins to fill the spot left by Winston Reid and to also fight off competition from James Collins.

2014/2015 Season Begins

So here it is, the beginning of the Swaine empire at West Ham United Football Club. The fans and players are eager to get underway and they are in hope of strong season from the Claret and Blue of East London. The bookmakers have given us little hope of winning the Barclays Premier League, giving us odds of 100/1. They think we will finish around mid table but I know that my players can make a push for the top half and maybe further. We have been given a tough start to the season, facing Liverpool and Man City in our opening two games, before facing Peterborough in the Capital One Cup. We then face West Brom, Sunderland, QPR, Southampton and Burnley before Arsenal visit the Boleyn Ground. The visit from the Gunners is the start of a tough stretch for us, we then face Leicester, Everton and Man Utd before traveling to Aston Villa and Chelsea at Villa Park and Stamford Bridge respectively. December gives us 6 games, beginning against Newcastle and then facing, Swansea and Hull. 2014 ends with 3 away games against Stoke and Crystal Palace before facing Tottenham in a London derby, one we will look for a positive result in to help us push on in 2015. The remainder of the 2014/2015 fixture list will be analysed after that London Derby in which I hope my talented young squad, get three points to finish off a promising start to the Barclays Premier League.
A nice start mate, some great signings. Xhaka is brilliant!

West Ham 1-1 Liverpool]

Ravel Morrison (36) Adam Lallana (45+1)

Mark Noble (45+3) Lucas Leiva (35)
Daniel Agger (42)
Glen Johnson (46)
Stevn Gerrard (54)

Mark Noble (66)

This was a pleasing result, and after taking the lead through Ravel Morrison in the 36th minute we could have gone on and won. The visitors equalised on the stroke of half time through an Adam Lallana header and that was a blow to the squad who would have liked to go in at half time in the lead. Our task was made harder in the 66th minute as Mark Noble received his second yellow of the game, so we had to finish off the match with 10 men and against a strong Liverpool line up that was not easy. But we battled through and could have snatched it late on but Andy Carroll's effort was saved by Pepe Reina. We could take a lot of positves from the result and the players themselves were pleased with the performance.

Well played, good result against Liverpool.

Mancester City 4-1 West Ham

Alvaro Negredo (22,38,81) Yaya Toure (74) Mauro Zarate (84)

Vincent Kompany (86)

This was an appalling result and an appalling performance by every single player. We were played off the park by a dominant Manchester City team and we made that easy for them by the lack of fight from each individual on the team. Manchester City took the lead in the 22nd minute and the lead was doubled 14 minutes later when Negredo got his second of the game. Yaya Toure made it three in the 74th minute and Negredo completed his hattrick 6 minutes later making the score 4-0. We did get a late consolation goal but that was highly undeserved and every player should have been ashamed of themselves after that performance.

Player of the Match

Alvaro Negredo 9.6

West Ham 2-0 Peterborough

Mauro Zarate (57) Simon Pepe (87)

A better performance from the players, seeing off the League One side in fairly comfortable fashion. We could not break the deadlock during the first half but two goals in the second half from Zarate and Pepe ensured the win.

Player of the Match

Mauro Zarate 7.7

Capital One Cup Third Round Draw

West Ham V Manchester United (Boleyn Ground, Tuesday 24th September)

West Ham 4-4 West Brom

Stewart Downing (43) Andy Carroll (56) Mark Noble (84) Sebastien Pocognoli (og) (90) Brown Ideye (18,54) Mounir El Hamdaoui (33,48)

Craig Gardner (42)

A quite sensational game, unfortunately it was West Brom who dominated the majority but my players showed great fight to come back from 4-1 down to draw 4-4. West Brom were putting us under pressure from kick off and finally got the breakthrough in the 18th minute through Brown Ideye, their new summer signing. It was 2-0 just after the half an hour mark as Mounir El Hamdaoui bagged his fist goal of the game. Stewart Downing got a goal back for the Hammers just before the break but the baggies came out even stronger in the second half, El Hamdaoui adding his second of the game in the 48th minute before Ideye also got his second in the 54th. With the crowd at the Boleyn Ground dejected and the players looking beat everyone thought West Brom had secured three points, but two minutes after Ideye made it 4-1, Andy Carroll scored to make it 4-2. Then in the 84th minute, Mark Noble got on the score sheet but still fans thought it was too late, but maybe there was hope. Into added time now and West Ham piling on the pressure and West Brom's defence gives way! Sebastien Pocognoli turning the ball into his own net and sending the West Ham faithful into raptures. West Ham had completed a wonderful comeback and grabbed a point at the death. It was perfect for the players who could take this now on to the next game at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland.

Player of the Match

Mounir El Hamdaoui 9.3

Transfer Window Closes
