Turning Merseyside Blue

Hi Guys, here I am stating another new story, this time with Everton. I'm looking to turn them into a dominating force and to turn Merseyside Blue.

ROBERTO MARTINEZ SACKED

Sky sports can confirm this hour that Roberto Martinez has been sacked by Everton with immediate effect. The news comes as a shock to many football pundits and journalists around the world who cannot seem to understand why Martinez has parted company with the Merseyside club.

The club stated on their Twitter page that Martinez had been sacked because the club did not feel he could lead them on to the great success the club is wishing for. They also said "We would like to thank Roberto for his hard work, passion and time he put into managing our club and it is sad to see him go, but it is for the best. Graeme Jones will be caretaker manager until the vacant spot is filled."

Many Everton have spoken out their shock and disappointment in the club's decision and they feel Martinez was doing all the right things.

Malky MacKay is the early favourite to tkake the Everton job, with Neil Lennon not far behind, the club is trying to get things sorted quickly so they can get ready for pre season and the start of the 2014/2015 season.

Everton Appoint Swaine

Everton have this morning announced Joe Swaine as their new manager. It came as a shock to the Everton fans as this manager has never been heard of before and there are several questions being asked on the boards choice for who should take over from Roberto Martinez.

But Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has put his full belief in Swaine, saying "he is the right man for the job and has the backing of everyone here at Goodison. He is young, and can provide a new dynamic way to take Everton to glory."

Swaine has this hour stated how he was in shock when he got the interview for Everton and he is delighted to have got the job. He stated "I just want to get there now, get familiar with the surroundings and make a good impact in and around the club, I have a few big names I want to sign and I want to get the fans on my side and I will do whatever it takes to make that happen."

A hectic pre season, with brilliant performances throughout the entire squad. Scoring 27 goals in 8 games was really pleasing and the tactics I were using seemed to be working in front of goal. The amount of goals we conceded was slightly disappointing but with some new additons in that defence I knew it would take some time for them all to settle in together. But overall, we had some brilliant results, and a thrilling encounter with Porto. It was disappointing to end with defeat but the players were still high on morale going into the season's opening encounter with Hull at Goodison Park.

Stevn Pienaar

A real pleasing performance from the loved South African, he came off the bench, grabbed himself a goal and controlled the match for the last 30 minutes.

Overall it was a match we dominated, Lukaku and Pienaar with the goals to seal a comfortable victory in which we dominated possesion and looked a real threat going forward. Debuts for Eder Alvarez Balanta, Timo Horn, Ronaldinho Gaucho and Lukaku's first as a permanent Everton player.

Manchester United 0-1 Everton

Absolutely brilliant, couldn't have asked for a better performance from the lads, they played their socks off and showed real guts to hold on at the end after Gareth Barry got injured after making all of my substitutions. Mirallas got his first goal of the season and had another hit the bar. His hattrick of chances was complete when he finished well but was ruled offside. Two clean sheets in two games and a brilliant away win. Couldn't have asked for anything better, the players are happy and so are the fans. Still only 6th in the league but its early days, Arsenal next at home, and we want to keep our winning run on track.

A real solid performance from the young right back didnt let anything go past him and got himself his second clean sheet in two games.

Disappointing Defeat

Everton 1-2 Arsenal

A really diappointing defeat in a game we really should have got something out of. We took the lead through a calamitous own goal by goal Nacho Monreal, Mesut Ozil then had a goal disallowed before Lukaku also had a goal chalked off. That would have been a massive goal for us and I am sure we would have gone on and won the game. However the gunners replied in the second half through a real unfortunate own goal by Phil Jagielka and then took the lead through Olivier Giroud. The goal really put a puncture in our morale and we never really looked like equalising until right at the death when Ross Barkley had his shot saved by Wojiech Szczesny. That result leaves us in 7th position with West Brom at home as ou next opposition.

A really solid game from the German who commanded his Arsenal team well and made it hard for our strike force to get through.

A brilliant draw which sees an early season Merseyside derby at Goodison Parl, it will be a brilliant spectacle for the fans and also my players, and it will be the first time for several players.

Disgraceful Defeat

Everton 0-1 West Brom

An absolutely disgraceful performance by every single player, not one of the players deserved anything from this game, they let each fan inside Goodison Park down and they were rightly devastated by the 1-0 defeat. Carlos Carmona scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute and James Morrison received his second booking late on which meant West Brom had to finish with 10 men. We could not turn this advantage into anything and to be quite frank, we didn't deserve to. The defeat leaves us 8th with our first Europa League fixture next up against En Avant de Guingamp

En Avant De Guingamp 0-2 Everton

We got out Europa League campaign off to a perfect start with a 2-0 victory in France, goals from Granit Xhaka and Joel Campbell secured the win for us. It was good to get back to winning ways after the loss against West Brom and it puts us in a good position going into Sunday's game away at Newcastle.

A good performance by the young talent, dominating the midfield and grabbing his first goal for the club which is excellent for his confidence.

Newcastle 1-1 Everton

A better performance from us in the league. We took the lead in the 19th minute through Eder Alvarez Balanta and we looked like we would go on to win the match with ease but Newcastle began to put more pressure on our defence and the pressure finally told in the 31st minute when Facundo Ferreyra equalised for the home side. From that moment on it was end to end stuff with both team having their chances but a draw in the end was probably a fair result.
