Please let me know if this has been brought up before as I can't be the only person who brought this up... But due to Miles dismissing my concern on Twitter without putting much thought into it, perhaps I'm overlooking something here.

In FM14, when a player is injured in a match, there are two types of injury: serious and minor. Serious meaning the player must be removed from the match, and minor meaning the player can play on. This is indisputable.

Regardless of the type of injury (serious, minor), FM14 doesn't provide any information on the physical injury to the player (head, neck, ankle, foot, etc.), correct? At least i haven't been able to find where the user is provided this information until after the match.

Wouldn't it make sense if the game provided *some type* of injury information on the player? In a real-life match, even someone watching on TV can tell if a player has injured their head or their foot -- but in FM14, every minor injury is the same until after the match. Hell, even Fifa 14 (yuck!) tells you what kind of injury a player is dealing with while making considering a substitution. Miles dismissed this concern saying that this isn't practical, even in real life, because physios don't know the details of an injury until scans, etc.

That is patently FALSE. If a player has picked up a gashed arm (common in FM14), I'm obviously going to keep him on the pitch. If he has picked up a tweaked hamstring, I'm going to sub him out so that he doesn't risk further injury. This is completely logical and aligned with how a real life manager/physio team would handle a minor injury.

Sure, the physios won't know if its a 'grade I' or 'grade II' hamstring pull, etc. -- but they will obviously know it's in the hamstring after treating the player on the pitch. Miles dismissed all of this as unrealistic. I have no idea how.

So, I feel it's undeniable that this feature is completely missing from the game, and is even implemented in Fifa 14 (the announcers even tell you what the injury is while playing...). The only reason why this feature would be missing is if all minor injuries lack the potential for causing further injury if the player is left in the game with said injury. I proposed this question to Miles as well and he didn't even appear to consider it. Either way, FM14 is lacking a) providing information to the manager about minor injury location OR b) the realism that keeping a player on the pitch after picking up a minor knock can further hurt them.

By rule of thumb I sort of guess what type of minor injury a player has picked up based on their fitness % and FM14 experience, but I really have no clue in the end and I'm crossing my fingers until the post-match report.

I really hope that I'm completely missing a feature in the game that explains all of this, for Miles was very rude and didn't even consider my constructive criticism of the game. Thanks guys!
