How the hell do you play this game?

I have the FM 2014 demo and I have no clue how to win games or do tactics. I've been Chelsea, Barca and Tottenham and I lose to virtually unknown teams in friendlies. I get how you make transfers and all that. On the Tottenham one I lost 4-0 to a fricken Icelandic team I'v never even heard of!

Try playing for a couple of months at least. Create the best tactics for your squad or use one of the downloadable ones here. And remember, you'll still lose from time to time, things happen.

Football Manager has a pretty steep learning curve and my best guess is that youll get fired at least a couple of times before getting it right (if there is such a thing as getting it right in FM). My best advice is to stick with your savegame wherever it takes you, even if you get fired. youll get a new job somewhere else and youll only really learn FM if you play at least a cuople of seasons.
